Superior Corrosion Resistance
Grade 410 stainless steel exhibits remarkable resistance to dry air, fresh water, mild bases and acids, foods, steam, and hot gases.
For optimal heat and corrosion resistance, it must be hardened. Ensuring a smooth finish enhances its performance.
Heat Resistance Characteristics
Exhibits excellent scaling resistance up to approximately 650°C. However, it is generally not recommended for use between 400 and 580°C due to reduced mechanical properties.
Heat Treatment Guidelines
Conduct a full anneal at 815-900°C, followed by a slow furnace cool to 600°C, then air cool.
For process annealing, heat to 650-760°C and then air cool.
Welding Techniques
Easily weldable using all standard methods. Preheating to 150-260°C and post weld annealing are needed to minimize the risk of cracking.
Surface Description of Stainless Steel Plate

| #240 | 240 grit finish; used when a finer finish than No. 4 is required; typically for restaurants and kitchen equipment and tools. |

| HL | This finish is performed by continuous linear polishing using an abrasive of appropriate grain size; mainly used for architectural applications. |
