Titanium round bars represent one of the most sought-after products from Daxun Alloy China. The advanced manufacturing process for Grade 1 Titanium bars is more automated compared to blocks and plates. Available in over forty distinct grades, the most popular being Grade 5, Grade 2, and Grade 1, our titanium round bars can be produced in diameters of up to 14 inches. Pure Titanium Grade 1 boasts exceptional ductility and cold formability, ideal for deep drawing applications. Renowned for outstanding general and seawater corrosion resistance, Grade 1 also excels in resisting oxidizing, neutral, and mildly reducing media, such as chlorides. With its low density-nearly half that of nickel-based alloys-combined with a high strength-to-weight ratio and superior corrosion resistance, titanium is perfect for a myriad of challenging chemical environments.
DAXUN® Ti Grade 1 is a commercially pure (CP) titanium bar characterized by the following attributes:
Daxun excels in producing high-quality titanium bars with superior performance and can also customize production according to customer agreements:
Daxun conducts rigorous quality assurance tests, including mechanical tests like area tensile, chemical analysis, material positive identification (PMI) tests, micro and macro testing, intergranular corrosion (IGC) tests, ultrasonic flaw detection, pitting resistance tests, hardness tests, expansion tests, and more. These tests ensure Grade 2 Titanium Rod and Round Bar materials meet application requirements. During production, we meticulously measure the product's diameter, thickness, and surface quality.

AMS 4928 - Comprehensive Bars, Forgings, and Forging Stock (Annealed)
AMS 4965 - Superior Bars, Forgings (Solution Treated and Aged)
AMS 4967 - Premium Bars, Forgings (Annealed, Heat Treatable)
In the solution-treated and aged condition, rapid quenching of small sections yields optimal properties. Larger sections or delayed quenching may result in suboptimal properties.
Typical hardness in the annealed condition is Rockwell C 30-34, whereas in the solution and aged condition it ranges around Rockwell C 35-39.
The Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy bar is machined using methods suitable for austenitic stainless steel, requiring slow machining speeds, high feed rates, rigid tools, and generous amounts of non-chlorinated cutting fluids to achieve optimal results.
Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy rod demonstrates excellent weldability in both the annealed condition and the solution and partially aged condition, with aging completed during post-weld heat treatment. It is essential to prevent contamination from oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen during welding. Fusion welding should be executed in an inert gas-filled chamber or with inert gas shielding to protect molten metal and adjacent heated zones. Spot, seam, and flash welding can be performed without a protective atmosphere.
The Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 titanium alloy rod is susceptible to contamination from hydrogen during improper pickling and from oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon during processes like forging, heat treating, and brazing. Such contamination can lead to ductility loss, compromising notch sensitivity and forming characteristics.
We manufacture bars tailored to your specific requirements.
Our bars boast excellent surface quality and straightness, with impeccable roundness and the tightest diameter tolerances (ISO 286-2 up to h5). Available in straightened, ground, and polished conditions.

Titanium should not be used with strong reducing acids, fluoride solutions, pure oxygen, or anhydrous ***.
The general corrosion rates for Grade 2 titanium in various media are shown in Table 1. CP titanium exhibits excellent corrosion resistance to a wide range of environments, including:
CP titanium shows excellent resistance to crevice corrosion in salt solutions compared to stainless steels. CP titanium will not exhibit crevice corrosion at temperatures under 80°C (176°F), regardless of pH, even under highly chlorinated conditions.
Grade 2 titanium demonstrates outstanding resistance to stress corrosion cracking (SCC) in hot chloride solutions and is immune to SCC in seawater.
Titanium exhibits excellent resistance to erosion in flowing environments.
Seawater with velocities up to 130 ft/sec (40 m/sec) exhibits a negligible effect on the high corrosion resistance of our material. Even the presence of abrasive particles, such as sand, has only a minimal impact on corrosion, showcasing the robustness of our titanium rods.
Remarkably, there is no significant absorption of hydrogen into titanium when exposed to seawater, even at elevated temperatures. Hydrogen absorption is typically observed only when the following three conditions are concurrently met:
Titanium alloys exhibit a unique immunity to all forms of microbiologically influenced corrosion. While they do not display any toxicity towards marine organisms, biofouling can occur in seawater. This can be mitigated through chlorination or by increasing the water velocity through the heat exchanger.
Unlike many other materials, titanium does not experience a reduction in fatigue performance in the presence of seawater. Both fatigue endurance limits and fatigue *** growth rates remain consistent whether tested in air or seawater.
In the galvanic series, titanium is positioned towards the noble end, near stainless steels, and usually acts as the cathode when coupled with other metals. As a result, titanium is not affected by galvanic corrosion but can accelerate the corrosion of the other metal. Coupling titanium with more noble metals, such as graphite, only enhances titanium's passivity.
Grade 2 Titanium Rod maintains its fatigue properties without degradation, even in the presence of seawater. Fatigue endurance limits and fatigue *** growth rates are consistent whether tested in air or seawater.
CP2 Grade Titanium Rod is highly weldable, provided the necessary precautions are observed. Given titanium's reactivity, an inert gas shield must be applied to both the outer diameter (OD) and inner diameter (ID) of the rod. The material must also be free from any grease or oil contamination.
Grade 2 Titanium Rod is typically welded using manual or automatic TIG welding, with or without filler wire. To minimize the size of the heat-affected zone, low heat input should be used. Post-weld heat treatment is not common for Titanium Rod.
