Titanium round bars are one of Daxun Alloy China's most popular titanium products. The manufacturing process for Grade 1 Titanium bars is more mechanized compared to blocks and plates. Grade 1 Titanium bars come in over forty distinct grades, with Grade 5, Grade 2, and Grade 1 being the most sought-after. Available in diameters up to 14 inches, Pure Titanium Grade 1 is known for its excellent ductility and cold formability, making it ideal for deep drawing. It boasts exceptional general and seawater corrosion resistance and is resistant to oxidizing, neutral, and mildly reducing media, including chlorides. With low density (approximately half that of nickel-based alloys), high strength-to-weight ratio, and outstanding corrosion resistance, Titanium is perfect for various harsh chemical conditions.
DAXUN® Ti Grade 1 is a commercially pure (CP) titanium bar with the following characteristics:
Daxun produces high-quality titanium bars with exceptional performance, and can also manufacture according to customer specifications:
Daxun conducts several quality assurance tests such as tensile tests, chemical analysis, PMI test, micro and macro testing, intergranular corrosion (IGC) test, ultrasonic flaw detection, pitting resistance test, hardness test, expansion test, etc. These tests ensure that the Grade 2 Titanium Rod and Grade 2 Titanium Round Bar materials meet application requirements. During production, we measure the diameter, thickness, and surface of the product.

AMS 4928 - Bars, Forgings, and Forging Stock (Annealed)
AMS 4965 - Bars, Forgings (Solution treated and aged)
AMS 4967 - Bars, Forgings (Annealed, Heat Treatable)
In the solution treated and aged condition, rapid quenching of smaller sections ensures optimal properties. Delayed quenching or larger section sizes may result in suboptimal properties.
Typical hardness in the annealed state is Rockwell C 30-34. In the solution and aged condition, it reaches Rockwell C 35-39.
Employing austenitic stainless steel machining techniques, the Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy bar can be machined with ease. Optimum results are achieved using slow machining speeds, high feeds, rigid tools, and generous amounts of non-chlorinated cutting fluids.
The Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy rod exhibits excellent weldability, whether in the annealed state or the solution and partially aged condition. Aging is typically completed during post-weld heat treatment. To prevent contamination by oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen, fusion welding should be executed in an inert gas-filled chamber or using inert gas shielding with a tail shield. Additionally, spot, seam, and flash welding can be conducted without a protective atmosphere.
The Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 titanium alloy rod may suffer hydrogen contamination from improper pickling, and oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon contamination during forging, heat treating, and brazing processes. Such contamination can lead to a loss of ductility, adversely impacting notch sensitivity and forming characteristics.
Tailored bar production to meet your specific requirements.

Usage Precautions: Avoid using titanium with strong reducing acids, fluoride solutions, pure oxygen, or anhydrous ***.
Performance Insights: Table 1 showcases general corrosion rates for Grade 2 titanium across various media, highlighting excellent corrosion resistance in environments including:
Advanced Resistance: CP titanium resists crevice corrosion in salt solutions better than stainless steels, showing no crevice corrosion below 80°C (176°F), even under super chlorinated conditions.
Exceptional Durability: Grade 2 titanium exhibits outstanding resistance to stress corrosion cracking (SCC) in hot chloride solutions and is immune to SCC in seawater.
Superior Erosion Resistance: Titanium demonstrates exceptional resistance to erosion in flowing environments.
Experience negligible effects on your materials, even in seawater with velocities reaching up to an impressive 130 ft/sec (40 m/sec). Despite the presence of abrasive particles like sand, the corrosion resistance remains minimally impacted.
Remarkably, titanium shows no significant absorption of hydrogen when exposed to seawater, even at elevated temperatures. Hydrogen absorption typically occurs only under these specific conditions:
Titanium alloys boast a unique immunity to all forms of microbiologically influenced corrosion. However, because these alloys are non-toxic to marine organisms, biofouling can occur in seawater. This issue can be mitigated by chlorination or by increasing the water velocity through heat exchangers.
Unlike many other materials, titanium's fatigue performance remains unaltered in the presence of seawater. Fatigue endurance limits and *** growth rates are consistent whether tested in air or seawater.
In the galvanic series, titanium is positioned near the noble end, adjacent to stainless steels, and usually acts as the cathode when paired with other metals. Thus, titanium is not affected by galvanic corrosion but may accelerate the corrosion of the other metal. When coupled with more noble metals like graphite, titanium's passivity is further enhanced.
Grade 2 Titanium Rod's fatigue properties remain robust, unaffected by the presence of seawater. Both endurance limits and *** growth rates are consistent whether tested in air or seawater.
CP2 Grade Titanium Rod offers excellent weldability when proper precautions are observed. Due to titanium's reactivity, an inert gas shield must be used on both the OD and ID of the rod, and the material should be free from grease or oil contamination.
Typically welded using manual or automatic TIG welding with or without filler wire, Grade 2 Titanium Rod requires low heat input to minimize the heat-affected zone. Post-weld heat treatment is generally not necessary.
