RESISTANCE

CORROSION RESISTANCE

HEAT RESISTANCE
- Provides robust resistance to oxidation in intermittent service in air at temperatures up to 1040°C and 1150°C in continuous service.

- Widely employed where sulfur dioxide gas is present at high temperatures.
- Not recommended for continuous use in the 425-860°C range due to carbide precipitation, which can impact subsequent aqueous corrosion resistance.
- Generally utilized at temperatures above 800 or 900°C, where 304H and 321 stainless steels become ineffective.
