Titanium round bars are among Daxun Alloy China's most popular products. The manufacturing process for Grade 1 Titanium bars is highly mechanized compared to blocks and plates. Grade 1 Titanium bars come in over forty distinct grades, with Grade 5, Grade 2, and Grade 1 being the most popular. These round bars are available in diameters up to 14 inches. Pure Titanium Grade 1 is renowned for its excellent ductility and cold formability, making it ideal for deep drawing applications. It is also celebrated for its outstanding general and seawater corrosion resistance, as well as its resistance to oxidizing, neutral, and mildly reducing media like chlorides. Due to its low density (approximately half that of nickel-based alloys), high strength-to-weight ratio, and superior corrosion resistance, Titanium is the material of choice for various harsh chemical environments.
DAXUN® Ti Grade 1 is a commercially pure (CP) titanium bar with the following characteristics:
Daxun produces high-quality titanium bars with exceptional performance and can also manufacture according to customer specifications:
Daxun conducts various quality assurance tests, including mechanical tests like area tensile, chemical analysis, material positive identification (PMI), micro and macro testing, intergranular corrosion (IGC) test, ultrasonic flaw detection, pitting and resistance tests, hardness tests, material positive identification, and expansion tests. These stringent tests ensure that the Grade 2 Titanium Rod and Grade 2 Titanium Round Bar material meets the required application standards. During production, we measure the product's diameter, thickness, and surface.

AMS 4928 - Bars, Forgings, and Forging Stock (Annealed)
AMS 4965 - Bars, Forgings (Solution Treated and Aged)
AMS 4967 - Bars, Forgings (Annealed, Heat Treatable)
In the solution treated and aged condition, rapid quenching of small sections yields optimal properties. However, larger sections or delayed quenching may result in sub-optimal properties.
Typical hardness is Rockwell C 30-34 in the annealed condition and Rockwell C 35-39 in the solution and aged condition.
The machinability of Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy bar can be efficiently managed using austenitic stainless steel machining techniques. This involves applying slow machining speeds, high feeds, and utilizing rigid tools, complemented by generous amounts of non-chlorinated cutting fluids.
Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy rod is highly weldable whether in the annealed state or in the solution and partially aged condition, with aging achieved during post-weld heat treatment. It is crucial to prevent contamination from oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen. Fusion welding should be performed in an inert gas-filled chamber or with inert gas to protect the molten metal and adjacent heated zones, using a tail shield. Spot, seam, and flash welding can be executed without a protective atmosphere.
The Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 titanium alloy rod can be at risk of hydrogen contamination due to improper pickling, and can absorb oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon during processes like forging, heat treating, and brazing. Such contamination could lead to a reduction in ductility, adversely impacting notch sensitivity and forming characteristics.
We custom-produce bars to meet your precise requirements.
Our bars boast excellent surface finish and straightness, impeccable roundness, and the tightest diameter tolerances (ISO 286-2 up to h5). Available in straightened, ground, and polished conditions.

Titanium should not be used with strong reducing acids, fluoride solutions, pure oxygen, or anhydrous ***, ensuring safe application.
The general corrosion rates for Grade 2 titanium in various media are illustrated in Table 1. CP titanium demonstrates excellent resistance to numerous environments including:
CP titanium shows superior resistance to crevice corrosion in salt solutions compared to stainless steels, maintaining integrity below 80°C (176°F) across pH levels, even in super chlorinated conditions.
Grade 2 titanium offers outstanding protection against stress corrosion cracking (SCC) in hot chloride solutions and remains unaffected by SCC in seawater.
Titanium demonstrates unparalleled resistance to erosion in flowing environments, ensuring longevity and reliability.
In seawater with velocities soaring up to 130 ft/sec (40 m/sec), the material showcases negligible effects from corrosion. Even abrasive particles, like sand, only slightly impact its corrosion resistance.
Titanium exhibits no significant hydrogen absorption when exposed to seawater, even at elevated temperatures. Typically, hydrogen absorption transpires only under the following three conditions:
Titanium alloys display a unique immunity to all forms of microbiologically influenced corrosion. While they are non-toxic to marine organisms and susceptible to biofouling in seawater, this can be mitigated by chlorination or increasing water velocity through the heat exchanger.
Unlike many materials, titanium maintains its fatigue performance in seawater. Fatigue endurance limits and *** growth rates remain consistent whether tested in air or seawater.
In the galvanic series, titanium is positioned near the noble end alongside stainless steels, acting as the cathode when coupled with other metals. Consequently, titanium is not affected by galvanic corrosion but can accelerate the corrosion of the other metal. Pairing titanium with more noble metals, like graphite, only heightens titanium's passivity.
Grade 2 Titanium Rod retains its fatigue properties in seawater, with no degradation. Fatigue endurance limits and *** growth rates are consistent whether tested in air or seawater.
CP2 Grade Titanium Rod is highly weldable, given the necessary precautions. Due to titanium's reactivity, an inert gas shield must protect both the OD and ID of the rod. The material must also be clear of any grease or oil contamination.
Grade 2 Titanium Rod is typically welded using manual or automatic TIG welding, with or without filler wire. Low heat input should be used to minimize the heat-affected zone. Post-weld heat treatment is generally not required for Titanium Rod.
