CORROSION RESISTANCE:
- The DAXUN 304/304L Stainless Steel Bar is a highly adaptable stainless steel, offering excellent resistance to atmospheric corrosion and chemical corrosion from various organic and inorganic substances, as well as from food and beverages.
- It is also utilized in vacuum processing equipment and specialized instruments requiring high integrity.
HEAT RESISTANCE:
- Exhibiting commendable oxidation resistance, this alloy can withstand intermittent use at temperatures up to 1600°F and continuous use up to 1690°F.
However, continuous use of the 304 round bar in the temperature range of 800-1580°F is not advisable if maintaining aqueous corrosion resistance is crucial.
WELDING CHARACTERISTICS:
- Easily welded by the full spectrum of conventional welding techniques, except oxyacetylene.
- For optimal results, AWS E308L/ER308L filler metal should be employed with Prodec 304/304L steel.
MACHINABILITY:
- This alloy allows for higher machining speeds, extended tool life, enhanced part quality, and reduced overall machining costs.
