The 317L Stainless Steel Pipe is an advanced, molybdenum-containing low-carbon austenitic stainless steel. This exceptional alloy integrates higher levels of chromium, nickel, and molybdenum, significantly enhancing its corrosion and chemical resistance to sulfite, acetic, formic, citric, and tartaric acids. Its low carbon composition ensures resistance to sensitization during welding, while providing superior creep, rupture stress, and tensile strength at elevated temperatures. Although nonmagnetic in its annealed state, it may exhibit slight magnetism post-welding.
The 317L seamless pipe is indispensable in handling sulfur, pulp liquors, acid dyes, acetylation and nitration mixtures, bleaching solutions, heavy coal, petroleum, and various chemical compounds. Additional applications of the 317L alloy include:
