Daxun Alloy's Pure Titanium Grade 1 Tubes Include:
Seamless and welded titanium tubes from Daxun Alloy are celebrated for their exceptional ductility and cold formability, making them ideal for deep drawing applications. Grade 1 titanium tubes are renowned for their robust general and seawater corrosion resistance. They also excel in resisting oxidizing, neutral, and slightly reducing media, including chloride-containing solutions.
Titanium is distinguished by its low density (approximately half that of nickel-based alloys), high strength, lightweight nature, and superior corrosion resistance. These attributes make it an optimal choice for various challenging chemical conditions. The execution standards include: ASTM B338 | ASTM B265 | ASME SB265 | ASTM F67 | ISO 5832-2 | 3.7025 | UNS R50250
Grade 2 Titanium Tube (UNS R50400 / Werkstoff WS 3.7034)
Grade 2 titanium tubes from Daxun Alloy are the most commonly utilized for industrial applications, balancing moderate strength and reasonable ductility. They offer excellent corrosion resistance in both highly oxidizing and slightly reducing environments, including those with chlorides. These tubes provide superior corrosion protection across various sectors, including the chemical and offshore industries, aircraft manufacturing, heat exchangers, hypochlorite systems, fire water systems, ballast water systems, CPI equipment, and more.
Fabrication
Titanium Grade 2 is highly responsive to cold forming using standard methods. It can be easily machined, though it requires special attention to maintain sharp tools and the liberal use of coolant. Similar to machining austenitic stainless steels, cuts should be deep and continuous, with slow feeds and speeds.
Stock Availability
Daxun Alloys maintains a stock of CP 2 Grade Titanium Seamless and Welded Pipes in diverse sizes, ready to meet your manufacturing needs.
Weight Reduction
CP 2 grade titanium tubes stand out for their low density and high strength-to-weight ratio, making them perfect for applications necessitating weight reduction without compromising on strength. These tubes are cold formable with good ductility and can be welded using conventional TIG and MIG processes, provided inert gas shielding is used to prevent embrittlement of the weld zone.
Crystal Structure
At room temperature, ASTM B338 Grade 2 titanium tubes possess an alpha (hexagonal close-packed) crystal structure, akin to commercially pure titanium grades 1 and 3. Around 885°C [1625°F], they transition to a beta (body-centered cubic) structure. This transformation temperature can vary with different impurities or alloying additions. Alloying elements also affect the equilibrium transformation temperature, creating distinct alpha and beta transformation zones. For Grade 2 titanium, typical transformation temperatures are 890°C (1635°F) for alpha and 913°C (1675°F) for beta.
