This α-β type titanium alloy benefits from aluminum stabilizing the α phase and vanadium stabilizing the β phase. Gr5 Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy plate is celebrated for its remarkable comprehensive performance and processability. It boasts excellent room and high-temperature strength, impressive creep resistance, thermal stability, high fatigue performance, and *** growth resistance in seawater. Additionally, Gr5 Ti-6Al-4V offers satisfactory fracture toughness, hot salt stress corrosion performance, and exceptional process plasticity and superplasticity, supporting various processing and welding methods.

Corrosion Resistance

Gr1, Gr2, Gr3, Gr4, and Gr5 titanium plates are highly resistant to seawater and marine atmospheric corrosion. While the four commercially pure grades share similar corrosion resistance, their mechanical properties vary with oxygen and iron content. These plates are resilient against wet chlorides and metal chlorides, chlorite and hypochlorite solutions, nitric and chromic acids, organic acids, and numerous industrial gases.
