Titanium round bars are among the most sought-after products offered by Jiangsu Daxun Alloy Co., Ltd. The manufacturing process for Grade 1 Titanium bars is highly mechanized compared to plates and blocks. Available in over forty distinct grades, the most popular are Grade 5, Grade 2, and Grade 1. These titanium round bars come in a variety of diameters, extending up to 14 inches. Pure Titanium Grade 1 boasts excellent ductility and cold formability, ideal for deep drawing. Renowned for its exceptional resistance to general and seawater corrosion, Titanium Grade 1 also excels against oxidizing, neutral, and mildly reducing media, such as chlorides. With its low density (about half that of nickel-based alloys), high strength-to-weight ratio, and remarkable corrosion resistance, titanium is an optimal choice for numerous harsh chemical environments.
DAXUN® Ti Grade 1 is a commercially pure (CP) titanium bar distinguished by the following characteristics:
Daxun produces premium titanium bars with exceptional performance and can also manufacture according to customer specifications:
Daxun conducts rigorous quality assurance tests, including mechanical tests like tensile testing, chemical analysis, material positive identification (PMI), micro and macro testing, intergranular corrosion (IGC) tests, ultrasonic flaw detection, pitting resistance tests, hardness tests, and expansion tests. These evaluations ensure that Grade 2 Titanium Rods and Grade 2 Titanium Round Bars meet the required application standards. Throughout production, we meticulously measure the diameter, thickness, and surface quality of the products.

AMS 4928 - Bars, Forgings, and Forging Stock (Annealed)
AMS 4965 - Bars, Forgings (Solution Treated and Aged)
AMS 4967 - Bars, Forgings (Annealed, Heat Treatable)
In the solution treated and aged condition, the rapid quenching of small sections achieves optimum properties. However, larger section sizes or delayed quenching may result in suboptimal properties.
Typically, in the annealed condition, the hardness is Rockwell C 30-34, and about Rockwell C 35-39 in the solution and aged condition.
Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy bar can be precision-machined using austenitic stainless steel machining techniques. Employ slow machining speeds, high feeds, rigid tools, and copious amounts of non-chlorinated cutting fluids for optimal results.
Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy rod is highly weldable whether annealed or in the solution and partially aged condition. Post-weld aging heat treatment enhances its properties. It's crucial to avoid contamination from oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen. Fusion welding should be done in an inert gas chamber or with inert gas shielding the molten metal and heated zones. Spot, seam, and flash welding can be performed without a protective atmosphere.
Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 titanium alloy rod is susceptible to contamination from hydrogen during improper pickling and from oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon during forging, heat treating, and brazing. Such contamination reduces ductility, affecting notch sensitivity and forming capabilities.

Avoid using titanium with strong reducing acids, fluoride solutions, pure oxygen, or anhydrous ***.
Grade 2 Titanium exhibits robust corrosion resistance in diverse environments. Refer to Table 1 for detailed general corrosion rates across various media. CP Titanium withstands a wide range of environments, including:
CP Titanium demonstrates superior resistance to crevice corrosion in salt solutions compared to stainless steels. It remains unaffected by crevice corrosion at temperatures below 80°C (176°F), even under super chlorinated conditions.
Grade 2 Titanium offers exceptional resistance to stress corrosion cracking (SCC) in hot chloride solutions and is immune to SCC in seawater.
Titanium provides outstanding resistance to erosion in high-velocity environments.
Even in seawater with velocities reaching up to an impressive 130 ft/sec (40 m/sec), our material demonstrates negligible impact. The presence of abrasive particles, such as sand, has a minimal effect on corrosion, showcasing its robustness.
Remarkably, titanium exhibits no significant absorption of hydrogen when exposed to seawater, even at elevated temperatures. Hydrogen absorption typically occurs only under three specific conditions:
Titanium alloys showcase unique immunity to all forms of microbiologically influenced corrosion. While they do not display toxicity toward marine organisms, thus allowing biofouling in seawater, this can be efficiently minimized through chlorination or increased water velocity through heat exchangers.
Unlike many other materials, titanium maintains its fatigue performance in the presence of seawater. Fatigue endurance limits and fatigue *** growth rates remain consistent, whether tested in air or seawater.
In the galvanic series, titanium is positioned towards the noble end, near stainless steels, typically acting as the cathode when coupled with other metals. This positioning ensures titanium is not affected by galvanic corrosion but can accelerate the corrosion of coupled metals. When coupled with more noble metals, such as graphite, titanium's passivity is further enhanced.
Grade 2 Titanium Rod stands out by not showing any degradation in fatigue properties when exposed to seawater. Both fatigue endurance limits and fatigue *** growth rates remain unchanged, whether tested in air or seawater.
CP2 Grade Titanium Rod is highly weldable, provided the necessary precautions are taken. An inert gas shield must be used on both the OD and ID of the rod due to titanium's reactivity. The material must also be free from any grease or oil contamination.
Typically, Grade 2 Titanium Rod is welded using manual or automatic TIG welding, with or without filler wire. To minimize the heat-affected zone, low heat input should be utilized. Post-weld heat treatment of Titanium Rod is generally not required.
