- DAXUN Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 Alloy Tube (UNS R56400) stands as the most renowned titanium alloy. The ATI Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy finds versatile applications in annealing, solution treatments, and ageing processes. It is pivotal in the production of compressor blades, discs, and rings for jet engines; fuselage and space capsule components; pressure containers; *** cases; helicopter rotor hubs; fasteners; and critical forgings requiring a superior strength-to-weight ratio.
- Initially, the alloy undergoes melting through vacuum arc (VAR), electron beam (EB), or plasma arc hearth melting (PAM). The remelting process is performed through one or two vacuum arc steps.

HARDNESS
Typical hardness reads Rockwell C 30-34 in the annealed state, and Rockwell C 35-39 in the solution and aged conditions.

- DAXUN Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy tubes are forged at 1,750°F (954°C), concluding at 1,450°F (788°C). For best results, a minimum reduction of 35% is recommended.

Consequently, intense forming operations such as bending or stretching can be effectively performed on annealed materials at elevated temperatures up to 1,200°F (649°C) without compromising mechanical integrity. tooling, along with the liberal use of non-chlorinated cutting fluids to ensure optimal results.
WELDABILITY
- DAXUN Ti-6Al-4V Grade 5 Alloy Titanium Tube exhibits exceptional weldability in both annealed and solution-treated, partially aged conditions, with requisite aging.
- Post-weld heat treatment ensures aging. It's crucial to avoid contamination by oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen.
