Titanium round bars are among the most sought-after products from Daxun Alloy China. The production of Grade 1 Titanium bars is highly mechanized, distinguishing it from the processes for blocks and plates. Available in numerous grades, including the popular Grade 5, Grade 2, and Grade 1, these bars come in diameters up to 14 inches. Pure Titanium Grade 1 is revered for its exceptional ductility and cold formability, making it ideal for deep drawing applications. Renowned for its excellent general and seawater corrosion resistance, Grade 1 Titanium also withstands oxidizing, neutral, and mildly reducing media such as chlorides. Its low density (about half that of nickel-based alloys), impressive strength-to-weight ratio, and outstanding corrosion resistance render it perfect for a myriad of demanding chemical environments.
DAXUN® Ti Grade 1 is a commercially pure (CP) titanium bar featuring the following attributes:
At Daxun, we produce high-quality, high-performance titanium bars and customize them to meet customer specifications:
Daxun conducts extensive quality assurance tests, including mechanical tests like area tensile, chemical analysis, PMI tests, micro and macro testing, intergranular corrosion (IGC) tests, ultrasonic flaw detection, pitting and resistance tests, hardness testing, and expansion tests. These rigorous assessments ensure that Grade 2 Titanium Rods and Round Bars meet the required application standards. During production, we consistently measure the product's diameter, thickness, and surface quality.

AMS 4928 - Bars, Forgings, and Forging Stock (Annealed)
AMS 4965 - Bars, Forgings (Solution treated and aged)
AMS 4967 - Bars, Forgings (Annealed, Heat Treatable)
Rapid quenching of small sections in the treated and aged condition yields optimum properties. Note that larger sections and delayed quenching may result in suboptimal properties.
Typical hardness ranges from Rockwell C 30-34 in the annealed condition to Rockwell C 35-39 in the solution and aged condition.
Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy bar can be machined with techniques used for austenitic stainless steel. This includes slow machining speeds, high feeds, robust tools, and copious amounts of non-chlorinated cutting fluids to ensure pristine cuts and performance.
The Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy rod boasts excellent weldability in both the annealed condition and the solution and partially aged state, with post-weld heat treatments achieving aging. Strict precautions against contamination by oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen are necessary. Fusion welding should be conducted in an inert gas-filled chamber or with inert gas to shield the molten metal and its adjacent heated zones. Spot, seam, and flash welding can be effectively carried out without a protective atmosphere.
When handling Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 titanium alloy rod, preventing contamination is crucial. Improper pickling can lead to hydrogen contamination, while forging, heat treating, and brazing can introduce oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon, which may degrade ductility and adversely affect notch sensitivity and forming characteristics.
We tailor the production of bars to meet your specific requirements.
Our products feature an excellent surface finish, impeccable straightness, perfect roundness, and the tightest diameter tolerances (according to ISO 286-2 up to h5). Available in straightened, ground, and polished conditions.

Titanium should be avoided with strong reducing acids, fluoride solutions, pure oxygen, or anhydrous ***.
The general corrosion rates for Grade 2 titanium in a variety of media are detailed in Table 1. CP titanium demonstrates excellent corrosion resistance to various environments, including:
CP titanium offers formidable resistance to crevice corrosion in salt solutions, outperforming stainless steels. It will not experience crevice corrosion at temperatures below 80°C (176°F), irrespective of pH, even under super-chlorinated conditions.
Grade 2 titanium excels against stress corrosion cracking (SCC) in hot chloride solutions and remains immune to SCC in seawater.
Titanium exhibits extraordinary resistance to erosion in flowing environments.
Exposure to seawater with velocities up to 130 ft/sec (40 m/sec) does not significantly affect the material. Even the presence of abrasive particles like sand has minimal impact on corrosion, showcasing the resilience of our titanium products.
Titanium exhibits remarkable resistance to hydrogen absorption when exposed to seawater, even at elevated temperatures. Typically, hydrogen absorption in titanium only occurs under three specific conditions:
Titanium alloys demonstrate exceptional immunity to microbiologically influenced corrosion. However, due to their non-toxic nature towards marine organisms, biofouling can occur in seawater environments. This can be effectively minimized through chlorination or by increasing the water velocity through heat exchangers.
Unlike many other materials, titanium maintains its fatigue performance even when exposed to seawater. Both fatigue endurance limits and fatigue *** growth rates remain consistent, whether tested in air or seawater.
In the galvanic series, titanium is positioned near the noble end, close to stainless steels, and typically acts as the cathode when paired with other metals. As a result, titanium is not susceptible to galvanic corrosion, but it can accelerate the corrosion of the other metal. Coupling titanium with more noble metals, such as graphite, further enhances its passivity.
Grade 2 Titanium Rod exhibits superior fatigue properties, showing no degradation even in seawater environments. Fatigue endurance limits and *** growth rates are consistent, whether tested in air or seawater.
CP2 Grade Titanium Rod offers excellent weldability when appropriate precautions are taken. Due to titanium's reactivity, an inert gas shield must be used on both the outer and inner diameters of the rod. It is also essential to ensure the material is free from grease or oil contamination.
Grade 2 Titanium Rod is usually welded using manual or automatic TIG welding, with or without filler wire. To minimize the heat-affected zone, low heat input should be utilized. Typically, Titanium Rods do not undergo post-weld heat treatment.
