Daxun Alloy's pure titanium Grade 1 titanium tubes include:
Experience the unmatched quality of our seamless and welded titanium tubes. With superior ductility and cold formability, our Grade 1 titanium tubes are perfect for deep drawing applications. Renowned for their robust general and seawater corrosion resistance, these tubes also excel against oxidizing, neutral, and slightly reducing environments, including chlorides.
Titanium's remarkable properties, such as its low density (approximately half that of nickel-based alloys), high strength, light weight, and exceptional corrosion resistance, make it the ideal material for a wide array of harsh chemical conditions. The execution standards for our products are: ASTM B338 | ASTM B265 | ASME SB265 | ASTM F67 | ISO 5832-2 | 3.7025 | UNS R50250.
Grade 2 Titanium Tube (UNS R50400 / Werkstoff WS 3.7034)
The Grade 2 Titanium Tube is our top choice for industrial applications, offering an exceptional balance of moderate strength and outstanding ductility. It boasts excellent corrosion resistance in both highly oxidizing and slightly reducing environments, including chlorides. Widely used in the chemical and offshore industries, aircraft manufacturing, and other sectors requiring strength and formability, this tube excels in heat exchangers, hypochlorite systems, fire and ballast water systems, industrial and aerospace components, CPI equipment, and pipelines.
Fabrication
Titanium Grade 2 is highly responsive to cold forming using standard methods. It can be easily machined with proper attention to maintaining sharp tools and liberal coolant usage. Similar to machining austenitic stainless steels, it requires deep and continuous cuts with slow feeds and speeds for optimal results.
Stock Availability
Daxun Alloys maintains a comprehensive stock of CP 2 Grade Titanium Seamless and Welded Pipes in various sizes to meet your diverse requirements.
Weight Reduction
CP 2 grade titanium tubes are designed for applications where weight reduction is crucial without compromising strength. With their low density and high strength-to-weight ratio, these tubes are cold formable, exhibit good ductility, and can be welded using conventional TIG and MIG processes, with inert gas shielding to prevent weld zone embrittlement.
Crystal Structure
At room temperature, ASTM B338 Grade 2 titanium tubes possess an alpha (hexagonal close-packed) crystal structure, akin to commercially pure titanium grades 1 and 3. Upon reaching approximately 885°C (1625°F), this structure transitions to a beta (body-centered cubic) form. The transformation temperature may vary based on impurities or alloying elements, which also create distinct alpha and beta temperature zones, with Grade 2 titanium typically transforming at 890°C (1635°F) and 913°C (1675°F).
Grade 2 Titanium Seamless Pipe Manufacturing Process
Daxun's ASTM B338 Grade 2 titanium seamless tubes are meticulously crafted from hollow blanks through hot extrusion or oblique rolling and piercing, followed by multiple cold rolling processes. Ensuring continuous perimeters at all stages, our manufacturing includes: sponge titanium vacuum arc melting, ingot blanking, cleaning and cutting, hot extrusion or oblique rolling and piercing, degreasing, drying, cutting, online annealing and straightening, pickling, multiple cold rolling, degreasing, drying, vacuum annealing, straightening, cutting, pickling, final inspection, marking (DAXUN), and packaging.
Grade 2 Titanium Welded Pipe Manufacturing Process
Daxun's ASTM B338 Grade 2 titanium welded pipe is meticulously crafted from annealed flat-rolled steel plate or steel strip using an advanced automatic arc welding (TIG) process. The comprehensive production processes encompass: titanium plate uncoiling, shearing, butt welding, cleaning, pipe forming, TIG welding, eddy current testing, pre-sizing, annealing, precision reducing and sizing, straightening, eddy current testing, caliper marking, cutting, ultrasonic testing, hydrostatic testing, final inspection, and packaging. These welded pipes undergo at least one stress relief heat treatment post-forming and welding to ensure optimal performance. Daxun stands out by not employing any filler materials during the welding process, guaranteeing superior quality and purity.
Ti-6Al-4V Titanium Pipe - Grade 5 Titanium Tube
Titanium Alloy - (UNS R56400)
Introduction
DAXUN Ti-6Al-4V Titanium Tube, Grade 5 (UNS R56400) epitomizes the most sought-after titanium alloy. This duplex alpha+beta titanium alloy incorporates aluminum as the alpha stabilizer and vanadium as the beta stabilizer. Renowned for its high-strength properties, this alloy operates efficiently at low temperatures around 800°F (427°C). The ATI Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy is ideal for processes such as annealing, solution treating, and aging. Its applications span across compressor blades, disks, and rings for jet engines; fuselage and space capsule components; pressure vessels; *** cases; helicopter rotor hubs; fasteners; and critical forgings where a high strength-to-weight ratio is paramount.
The alloy's initial melting is conducted using advanced techniques such as vacuum arc (VAR), electron beam (EB), or plasma arc hearth melting (PAM). Remelting typically involves one or two vacuum arc steps to ensure utmost purity and consistency.

Optimum Properties
Achieving optimal properties is feasible with small cross-sections and rapid quenching in the solution treated and aged condition. However, larger cross-sections and/or delayed quenching might result in suboptimal properties.
Hardness
Typical hardness in the annealed condition ranges from Rockwell C 30-34, and approximately Rockwell C 35-39 in the solution treated and aged condition.
Forgeability/Formability
Introducing the DAXUN Ti-6Al-4V Titanium Tube, Grade 5! Expertly forged at a precise 1,750°F (954°C) with a final forging temperature of 1,450°F (788°C), this titanium tube ensures exceptional performance. For best results, a reduction of at least 35% is recommended.
The DAXUN Ti-6Al-4V Titanium Tube, Grade 5, exhibits challenging formability at room temperature, even in its annealed state. However, it can undergo severe forming operations, such as bending or stretching, at temperatures up to 1,200°F (649°C) without altering its mechanical properties. For hot sizing or forming, employ creep forming methods at temperatures between 1,000 and 1,200°F (538 to 649°C).
Machinability
Our DAXUN Ti-6Al-4V Titanium Tube, Grade 5, offers excellent machinability akin to austenitic stainless steels. Achieve optimal results with slow speeds, high feeds, robust tool rigidity, and generous use of non-chlorinated cutting fluids.
Weldability
The DAXUN Ti-6Al-4V Titanium Tube, Grade 5, demonstrates outstanding weldability in both annealed and solution-partly-aged conditions. Aging is achieved through post-weld heat treatment.
To ensure flawless welds, it's crucial to prevent contamination from oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen. Perform fusion welding in an inert gas-filled chamber or with an inert gas tail shield over the molten metal and adjacent hot zones. Spot welding, seam welding, and flash welding can all be executed without a protective atmosphere for consistent results.
Special Considerations
It's vital to maintain the purity of the DAXUN Ti-6Al-4V Titanium Tube, Grade 5, to avoid hydrogen contamination from improper pickling and the absorption of oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon during forging, heat treating, brazing, and similar processes. Such contamination can compromise ductility, notch sensitivity, and formability.
