310S Stainless Steel Coil is an austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel renowned for its superb resistance to oxidation, corrosion, and high temperatures. Type 310S excels in high-temperature environments, withstanding up to 2000˚F in dry air while maintaining excellent creep strength and oxidation resistance. It forms a robust oxide scale at elevated temperatures and resists spalling, surpassing Type 309 in thermal cycling applications. In mildly carburizing atmospheres, Type 310 offers excellent sulfidation and carburization resistance. The low-carbon variant, Type 310S, is easier to shape and weld, and it remains nonmagnetic when annealed and cold wrought, offering superior corrosion resistance compared to Type 304/304L.
