This grade is highly favored for applications within the 800-1500˚F temperature range. Stabilized against chromium carbide precipitation through the addition of titanium, it forms titanium carbides, which significantly bolster its properties. Type 321 boasts superior intergranular corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance up to 1500˚F. It also demonstrates enhanced creep and stress rupture qualities compared to 304/304L, maintains strength at low temperatures, and remains non-magnetic when annealed.
