Ideal for the 800-1500˚F temperature range, its titanium additives stabilize against chromium carbide precipitation by forming titanium carbides. Type 321 stands out with remarkable intergranular corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance up to 1500˚F, and superior creep and stress rupture properties compared to 304/304L. It maintains strength at low temperatures and remains non-magnetic when annealed.
