Comprising 25% chromium, 4% molybdenum, and 7% nickel, this alloy is engineered for applications demanding exceptional strength and resistance to corrosion. Ideal for chemical processing, petrochemical, and seawater equipment, it showcases remarkable resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking, excellent thermal conductivity, and a low coefficient of thermal expansion. The elevated levels of chromium, molybdenum, and nickel ensure outstanding protection against pitting, crevice formation, and general corrosion.
Duplex 2507 (UNS S32750) from Jiangsu Daxun Alloy Co., Ltd. is a super duplex stainless steel integrating 25% chromium, 4% molybdenum, and 7% nickel. Designed for high-stress and highly corrosive environments, it is perfect for chemical, petrochemical, and seawater applications. This steel is significantly resistant to chloride stress corrosion cracking, offers high thermal conductivity, and maintains a low coefficient of thermal expansion. The substantial presence of chromium, molybdenum, and nickel guarantees exceptional resistance to pitting, crevices, and general corrosion.

General Corrosion
Hot working POSCO 2507 should be conducted within the temperature range of 1875°F to 2250°F, followed by a solution anneal at a minimum of 1925°F, and rapidly quenched in air or water to ensure optimal performance.
Cold forming POSCO 2507 aligns with most standard stainless steel processes. Given its higher yield strength and lower ductility compared to austenitic steels, fabricators might require increased forming forces, larger bending radii, and greater allowances for springback. Techniques such as deep drawing and stretch forming present more challenges than with austenitic stainless steel. For deformations exceeding 10% cold deformation, a solution anneal and quench is recommended.
Following hot or cold forming, POSCO 2507 requires solution annealing and quenching. This process should occur at a minimum of 1925°F, succeeded by a swift air or water quench. For enhanced corrosion resistance, heat-treated products should be pickled and rinsed.
POSCO 2507 offers excellent weldability, compatible with several welding methods including SMAW, GTAW, PAW, FCW, and SAW. Utilize 2507/P100 filler metals to achieve the desired duplex weld structure when welding POSCO 2507.

Each POSCO 2507 stainless steel sheet is finished with a protective film on one side, which can be easily removed post-fabrication or installation to reveal a pristine surface. The reverse side remains unfinished.
2205 Grade Stainless Steel Sheet remains a widely used option, known for its excellent weldability, formability, and commendable corrosion resistance.
