These titanium plates are the 'workhorses' of the commercially pure titanium family, known for their impressive combination of high strength, ductility, and excellent corrosion resistance, making them ideal for numerous industrial applications.

Gr1, Gr2, Gr3, and Gr4 titanium plates are commercially pure and strike an excellent balance between strength and ductility. They offer good impact strength, ease of welding, and superb corrosion resistance in highly oxidizing environments, alkaline media, brine solutions, and weakly reducing environments, including wet ***. Additionally, they provide outstanding resistance to seawater and salt solutions.


The Gr5 grade, also known as Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy plate, comprises 90% titanium, 6% aluminum, and 4% vanadium. It is an α-β type titanium alloy where aluminum stabilizes the α phase and vanadium stabilizes the β phase. Gr5 Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy plates are renowned for their excellent comprehensive performance, good process performance, superb room temperature and high temperature strength, creep resistance, thermal stability, high fatigue performance, and *** growth resistance in seawater. They also offer satisfactory fracture toughness and hot salt stress corrosion resistance. With excellent process plasticity and superplasticity, they are suitable for various processing, welding, and machining methods.

 

Applications and Standards

Gr1, Gr2, Gr3, Gr4, and Gr5 Titanium Plates offer a unique combination of lower density and higher strength, making them perfect for weight-sensitive applications. Corrosion Resistance

Gr1, Gr2, Gr3, and Gr5 titanium plates exhibit high resistance to seawater and marine atmospheric corrosion. While the corrosion resistance is similar across these four C.P. grades, their mechanical properties vary based on oxygen and iron content. These titanium plates are resistant to attack by wet chlorides, metal chlorides, chlorite and hypochlorite solutions, nitric and chromic acids, organic acids, and many industrial gases.
