The 317L Stainless Steel Pipe is a specialized, low-carbon, molybdenum-enhanced austenitic stainless steel. Designed with increased chromium, nickel, and molybdenum, this alloy offers superior resistance to corrosion and various chemicals, including sulfite, acetic, formic, citric, and tartaric acids. Its low carbon content allows it to avoid sensitization during welding, and it boasts higher creep resistance, rupture stress, and tensile strength at elevated temperatures. The alloy remains nonmagnetic in its annealed state but may achieve slight magnetism post-welding.
The 317L seamless pipe serves a pivotal role in managing sulfur, processing pulp liquors, acid dyes, and handling acetylation and nitration mixtures. It's essential in environments involving bleaching solutions, heavy coal and petroleum, and various chemical compounds. Key applications include:
