At DAXUN, we specialize in producing and stocking Grade 2 (UNS R50400) titanium plates with thicknesses ranging from 0.5mm to 120mm. Known as the 'workhorse' of the commercially pure titanium family, it merges high strength, exceptional ductility, and outstanding corrosion resistance, catering to many industrial needs.
Grade 2 Titanium Plate is a versatile, commercially pure titanium plate offering an exceptional blend of strength and ductility. Notable for its impressive impact strength and weldability, it boasts excellent corrosion resistance across highly oxidizing, alkaline, brine, and mildly reducing environments, including wet ***. Its superior resistance extends to seawater and salt solutions.
Titanium's low density, impressive strength-to-weight ratio, and unparalleled corrosion resistance make it a prime choice for diverse applications. It effectively resists stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion in chloride solutions below 70°C. With a melting point of 1660°C, Grade 2 Titanium Plate stands out as the preferred alloy for industrial applications demanding excellent ductility and corrosion resistance.
The low density of Grade 2 titanium plate makes it indispensable in weight-sensitive applications. Prominent industries utilizing titanium alloys include medical, chemical equipment, and aerospace. The alloy's strength and corrosion resistance make it ideal for marine, chemical processing, and desalination industries. Typical applications span oil and gas components, reaction and pressure vessels, piping systems, power, heat exchangers, linings, flue gas desulfurization systems, and various other industrial components. Common standards include ASTM B265, ASTM F67, AMS4911, AMS4928, AMS4943, AMS4944, AMS4945, AMS4967, and AMS4972.
Daxun ensures supreme quality through rigorous testing, including flattening, pitting and resistance, mechanical, hardness, material positive identification, and expansion tests. These tests guarantee that our materials meet the required applications. During production, we meticulously measure the product's diameter, thickness, and surface. Standard delivery is within 5-7 days, with special sizes delivered in 15-20 days.
Titanium Grade 2 Plates are available in cold-rolled thicknesses from 0.3 mm to 6.0 mm and are supplied in hot-rolled or heat-treated conditions. For hot-rolled conditions, thicknesses range from 4.76 mm to 155 mm. Plates undergo longitudinal and transverse rolling, and if needed, creep flattening serves as a heat treatment to relieve internal stresses and meet specific flatness requirements. Complex shapes can be cut from a parent plate, and additional processing can be mechanical or chemical, based on customer requirements.
