Titanium round bars are among the most sought-after titanium products offered by Daxun Alloy China. The manufacturing process for Grade 1 Titanium bars is notably more mechanized compared to blocks and plates. Available in over forty distinct grades, including the highly popular Grade 5, Grade 2, and Grade 1, these bars come in a variety of diameters up to 14 inches. Pure Titanium Grade 1 is celebrated for its exceptional ductility and cold formability, making it perfect for deep drawing applications. Its renowned general and seawater corrosion resistance, along with its resilience against oxidizing, neutral, and mildly reducing media such as chlorides, make it an outstanding choice. Furthermore, its low density-approximately half that of nickel-based alloys-coupled with its high strength-to-weight ratio and superior corrosion resistance, positions it as an optimal selection for a wide array of harsh chemical environments.
DAXUN® Ti Grade 1 is a commercially pure (CP) titanium bar with a myriad of impressive characteristics:
Daxun excels in producing titanium bars that boast superior performance and can tailor manufacturing to customer specifications:
Daxun conducts extensive quality assurance tests, encompassing mechanical tests like area tensile, chemical analysis, material positive identification (PMI test), micro and macro testing, intergranular corrosion (IGC) test, ultrasonic flaw detection test, pitting and resistance test, hardness test, expansion test, among others. These tests ensure that the Grade 2 Titanium Rod and Grade 2 Titanium Round Bar materials meet the necessary application requirements. Throughout production, we meticulously measure the diameter, thickness, and surface of each product.

AMS 4928 - Bars, Forgings, and Forging Stock (Annealed)
AMS 4965 - Bars, Forgings (Solution treated and aged)
AMS 4967 - Bars, Forgings (Annealed, Heat Treatable)
For optimal properties in the solution treated and aged condition, rapid quenching of smaller sections is recommended. Larger sections or delayed quenching may result in suboptimal properties.
The typical hardness in the annealed condition is Rockwell C 30-34, increasing to Rockwell C 35-39 in the solution treated and aged condition.
Machining Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy requires techniques similar to those used for austenitic stainless steel. Optimal results are obtained with slow machining speeds, high feeds, rigid tools, and the application of ample non-chlorinated cutting fluids.
Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy rod exhibits excellent weldability in both the annealed and solution-partially aged conditions, with aging conducted post-weld heat treatment. Care must be taken to prevent contamination by oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen. Fusion welding should occur in an inert gas-filled environment or using inert gas to protect the molten metal and heated zones, supplemented with a tail shield. Spot, seam, and flash welding can be performed without a protective atmosphere.
The Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 titanium alloy rod is susceptible to hydrogen contamination from improper pickling, and oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon contamination during processes like forging, heat treating, and brazing. This can lead to reduced ductility, negatively impacting notch sensitivity and forming characteristics.
We fabricate bars tailored to your specifications.
Our bars boast excellent surface finish and straightness, perfect roundness, and tightest diameter tolerances (ISO 286-2 up to h5). Available in straightened, ground, and polished conditions.

Avoid using titanium with strong reducing acids, fluoride solutions, pure oxygen, or anhydrous *** to maintain its integrity.
Refer to Table 1 for Grade 2 titanium's general corrosion rates in various media. CP Titanium is highly resistant to a broad spectrum of environments, including:
CP Titanium shows superior resistance to crevice corrosion in salt solutions compared to stainless steels. It remains free of crevice corrosion at temperatures below 80°C (176°F), irrespective of pH, even under super chlorinated conditions.
Grade 2 Titanium demonstrates exceptional resistance to stress corrosion (SCC) cracking in hot chloride solutions, remaining immune to SCC in seawater.
Titanium offers excellent resistance to erosion in flowing environments.
Our Pure Titanium Rods ASTM B348 exhibit outstanding performance in seawater with velocities up to 130 ft/sec (40 m/sec) and show negligible effects from abrasive particles such as sand, ensuring minimal corrosion and maximized durability.
Titanium's resistance to hydrogen absorption is remarkable, even when exposed to seawater at elevated temperatures. Hydrogen embrittlement typically occurs only under three specific conditions:
Titanium alloys showcase a unique immunity to all forms of microbiologically influenced corrosion. While biofouling can occur due to non-toxicity towards marine organisms, it can be effectively minimized by chlorination or increasing water velocity through heat exchangers.
Titanium stands out with its resistance to corrosion fatigue, maintaining consistent fatigue endurance limits and *** growth rates whether in air or seawater, unlike many other materials.
In the galvanic series, titanium's position towards the noble end ensures minimal impact from galvanic corrosion. Acting as a cathode when paired with other metals, titanium remains unaffected while it may accelerate the corrosion of the other metal. Coupling with noble metals like graphite enhances titanium's passivity.
Grade 2 Titanium Rods maintain remarkable fatigue properties in seawater, with fatigue endurance limits and *** growth rates remaining consistent, whether tested in air or seawater.
CP2 Grade Titanium Rods offer excellent weldability when proper precautions are taken. Ensuring an inert gas shield on both the OD and ID and a contaminant-free surface is essential due to titanium's reactivity.
Grade 2 Titanium Rods are best welded using manual or automatic TIG welding, with low heat input to minimize the heat-affected zone. Typically, post-weld heat treatment is not required.
