Exceptional Corrosion Resistance
The Grade 410 stainless steel exhibits remarkable resistance to dry air, fresh water, mild bases, mild acids, foods, steam, and hot gases.
For optimal heat and corrosion resistance, hardening is essential. Maximum performance is achieved when the surface is smooth.
Superior Heat Resistance
Exhibits excellent resistance to scaling at temperatures up to 650°C. However, it is generally not recommended for use between 400 and 580°C due to reduced mechanical properties.
Precision Heat Treatment
Fully anneal at temperatures between 815-900°C, followed by a slow furnace cooling to 600°C, and then air cooling.
For process annealing, maintain temperatures between 650-760°C and then air cool.
Efficient Welding Techniques
Readily weldable by all standard methods. Requires preheating to 150-260°C and post-weld annealing to minimize the risk of cracking.
