Titanium Tube Manufacturing TypesTitanium Welded Tube
Our tubular products, crafted from premium-grade strips, are meticulously roll-formed and fusion-welded along a longitudinal seam. Notably, Daxun's advanced welding techniques ensure no filler metals are used during the process, preserving the tube's integrity.

Titanium Welded & Drawn Tubing
These tubular products are expertly welded and then redrawn to achieve their final size. The welded and drawn method is perfect for producing heavy-wall diameter tubes that can't be welded directly to size. They provide significant cost savings compared to seamless tubes, and all Daxun welded and drawn tubes are bright annealed for superior quality.

Titanium Seamless Tubing
Our seamless tubular products are precision-drawn from tube hollows, created via billet piercing or hot extrusion processes. Seamless tubes are ideal for applications requiring very heavy diameter-to-wall ratios and deliver exceptional outside dimensional tolerances.

Daxun Alloys maintains a comprehensive inventory of CP 2 Grade Titanium Seamless and Welded Pipes in various sizes to meet diverse requirements.

Weight Reduction

CP 2 grade titanium tubes boast a low density and a high strength-to-weight ratio, making them ideal for applications where weight reduction is crucial without compromising strength. They are cold formable, exhibit excellent ductility, and can be welded using traditional TIG and MIG methods, though inert gas shielding is necessary to prevent weld zone embrittlement.

Crystal Structure

At room temperature, ASTM B338 Grade 2 titanium tube features an alpha (hexagonal close-packed) crystal structure, similar to commercially pure titanium grades 1 and 3. Around 885°C (1625°F), it transitions to a beta (body-centered cubic) structure. Alloying elements can adjust this transformation temperature, creating alpha and beta transformation zones. Typical transformation temperatures for Grade 2 titanium are around 890°C (1635°F) for alpha and 913°C (1675°F) for beta.
