Titanium round bars are among the flagship products of Daxun Alloy China. The manufacturing process for Grade 1 Titanium bars is highly mechanized, ensuring precision and quality. Available in over forty distinct grades-among which Grade 5, Grade 2, and Grade 1 are the most popular-these bars come in a range of diameters up to 14 inches. Pure Titanium Grade 1 distinguishes itself with excellent ductility and cold formability, suitable for deep drawing applications. It offers exceptional resistance to general and seawater corrosion, as well as to oxidizing, neutral, and mildly reducing media like chlorides. Titanium's low density, roughly half that of nickel-based alloys, coupled with a high strength-to-weight ratio and superior corrosion resistance, makes it the ideal choice for various demanding chemical environments.
DAXUN® Ti Grade 1 is a commercially pure (CP) titanium bar renowned for the following characteristics:
Daxun produces high-quality titanium bars with exceptional performance and can also tailor manufacturing to meet customer-specific requirements:
Daxun implements rigorous quality assurance tests, including mechanical tests like tensile strength analysis, chemical composition verification, PMI (Material Positive Identification) tests, micro and macro structural analysis, intergranular corrosion (IGC) tests, ultrasonic flaw detection, pitting resistance, hardness testing, and expansion analysis. These tests guarantee that Grade 2 Titanium Rods and Round Bars meet all required application specifications. We meticulously measure the diameter, thickness, and surface quality throughout the production process.

Jiangsu Daxun Alloy Co., Ltd., boasts a state-of-the-art production facility in China, delivering highly competitive and precise Grade 5 titanium bars. With exceptional surface quality, tolerance, straightness, and material excellence, we provide technological leadership and consistent production processes. Our extensive stock program ensures just-in-time delivery across a wide range of diameters and materials.
AMS 4928 - Bars, Forgings, and Forging Stock (Annealed)
AMS 4965 - Bars, Forgings (Solution treated and aged)
AMS 4967 - Bars, Forgings (Annealed, Heat Treatable)
For optimum properties, rapid quenching of small sections is recommended in the solution treated and aged condition. Larger sections or delayed quenching may yield suboptimal properties.
In the annealed condition, the typical hardness is Rockwell C 30-34, whereas in the solution and aged condition, it's approximately Rockwell C 35-39.
The Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy bar can be expertly machined using techniques similar to those used for austenitic stainless steel. This requires slow machining speeds, high feed rates, robust tools, and the use of copious amounts of non-chlorinated cutting fluids to ensure optimal results.
The Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy rod offers exceptional weldability whether in the annealed or solution and partially aged conditions. Post-weld aging enhances its properties. It's crucial to prevent contamination with oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen. Fusion welding should be performed in an inert gas-filled chamber, or by using an inert gas to shield the molten metal and adjacent heated areas. Spot, seam, and flash welding can be executed without a protective atmosphere.
Caution must be taken with the Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 titanium alloy rod to avoid contamination from hydrogen during improper pickling and from oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon during forging, heat treating, or brazing. Such contamination can lead to a loss of ductility, negatively impacting notch sensitivity and forming characteristics.
We manufacture bars tailored to your specific requirements.
Our bars feature excellent surface finish and straightness, with perfect roundness and the tightest diameter tolerances (as per ISO 286-2 up to h5). Available in straightened, ground, and polished conditions.

The general corrosion rates for Grade 2 titanium in various media are summarized in Table 1. CP Titanium showcases excellent corrosion resistance in a wide range of environments, including:
CP Titanium shows remarkable resistance to crevice corrosion in salt solutions compared to stainless steels. CP Titanium remains unaffected by crevice corrosion at temperatures below 80°C (176°F) regardless of pH, even in super chlorinated conditions.
Grade 2 titanium demonstrates excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking (SCC) in hot chloride solutions and is immune to SCC in seawater.
Titanium exhibits outstanding resistance to erosion in flowing environments.
Experience the resilience of our Grade 1 Titanium Rod, capable of withstanding seawater velocities up to 130 ft/sec (40 m/sec) with negligible impact. Even the presence of abrasive particles such as sand has only a minimal effect on its corrosion resistance.
Titanium's superb resistance to hydrogen absorption is evident even in seawater and high-temperature conditions. Hydrogen absorption typically only occurs when three specific conditions are simultaneously met:
Titanium alloys exhibit remarkable immunity to microbiologically influenced corrosion. Although biofouling can occur due to the non-toxic nature of titanium towards marine life, it can be controlled through chlorination or increased water velocity in heat exchangers.
Unlike many materials, titanium demonstrates consistent fatigue performance even in seawater. Its fatigue endurance limits and *** growth rates remain unchanged, whether tested in air or seawater.
In the galvanic series, titanium's position near stainless steels indicates its noble nature. It generally acts as the cathode when paired with other metals, hence it remains safe from galvanic corrosion but might accelerate corrosion in the paired metal. When coupled with even more noble metals like graphite, titanium's passivity is further enhanced.
Grade 2 Titanium Rod stands out for its resistance to fatigue degradation in the presence of seawater. Its endurance limits and *** growth rates remain consistent, unaffected by the testing medium whether it be air or seawater.
CP2 Grade Titanium Rod is highly weldable with proper precautions. Due to titanium's reactivity, an inert gas shield is essential for both the inside and outside of the rod. The rod must be meticulously clean, free from any grease or oil contamination.
Typically, Grade 2 Titanium Rods are welded using manual or automated TIG welding, with or without filler wire. It's crucial to use low heat input to minimize the heat-affected zone. Post-weld heat treatment is generally unnecessary for Titanium Rod.
