Exceptional Corrosion Resistance
Grade 410 stainless steel showcases remarkable resistance to dry air, fresh water, mild bases and acids, various foodstuffs, steam, and hot gases.
For optimal heat and corrosion resistance, 410 stainless steel must undergo hardening. Its peak performance is achieved when the surface is smooth.
Impressive Heat Resistance
410 stainless steel demonstrates good resistance to scaling at temperatures reaching approximately 650°C. However, it is generally not recommended for use between 400°C and 580°C due to a reduction in mechanical properties.
Meticulous Heat Treatment Processes
To fully anneal, heat the material to 815-900°C, then cool it slowly in the furnace down to 600°C, followed by air cooling.
For process annealing, heat to 650-760°C and allow it to air cool.
Versatile Welding Capabilities
410 stainless steel can be easily welded using all standard methods. Preheating to 150-260°C and subsequent post-weld annealing are essential to minimize the risk of cracking.
Surface Description of Stainless Steel Plates

| No.3 | Intermediate 100-120 grit finish; used for applications in which surface polishing is performed after shaping. |
| No.4 | General 150-180 grit finish; used for restaurants and kitchen equipment and tools. |
| #240 | 240 grit finish; used when a finer finish than No. 4 is required; typically for restaurants and kitchen equipment and tools. |
| #320 | 320 grit finish polished product. |
| HL | This finish is performed by continuous linear polishing using an abrasive of appropriate grain size; mainly used for architectural applications. |
