Hot-finished Titanium Tubes
These tubes are meticulously crafted through hot-rolling or hot-extruding processes, followed by precise straightening, and meticulous machining of both internal and external diameters. The surfaces are polished to perfection. Available in both heat-treated and non-heat-treated forms, our titanium tubes are subject to rigorous 100% ultrasonic flaw detection, ensuring top-tier quality.
Titanium Tube Materials Available:
Hot-rolled Titanium Tubes: OD ranges from 19mm to 325mm, wall thickness from 9mm to 30mm, and lengths up to 5000mm (as agreed upon between the manufacturer and customer). - Hot-extruded Titanium Tubes: OD ranges from 50mm to 160mm, wall thickness from 7mm to 35mm, and lengths up to 3000mm (as agreed upon between the manufacturer and customer).
Cold-finished Titanium Tubes
Cold-finished Titanium Tubes are available in heat-treated, surface-etched forms, thoroughly tested either hydrostatically or ultrasonically, per manufacturing specifications. Tube dimensions include:- OD from 6mm to 89mm, wall thickness from 0.5mm to 11mm, and lengths up to 6000mm (as agreed upon between the manufacturer and customer).
Titanium Welded Pipes
DaXun specializes in titanium pipes with diameters from 12.7 mm to 38.1 mm (0.47 in to 1.5 in), wall thicknesses from 0.4 mm to 1.65 mm (0.016 in to 0.065 in), and lengths up to 25000 mm. These pipes are crafted from Gr1, Gr2, and Gr12 titanium alloys, ideal for engineering and chemical industries. Using flat rolled raw material (kelp), we employ automatic tungsten inert gas (argon) welding on electric pipe welders, followed by heat treatment. Every finished titanium welded pipe undergoes rigorous mechanical, geometrical, ultrasonic, and eddy current testing, as well as pneumatic or hydrostatic testing. Pipes are packed per customer specifications, meeting ASTM B 338 and ASME SB 338 standards.
Our titanium tubes, particularly Ti-3Al-2.5V, are indispensable in aircraft applications where high strength and low weight are critical. This alloy is also favored for hydraulic systems due to its superior malleability over Ti-6-4. It can be cold worked or supplied in an annealed state. Additional uses include bicycle and wheelchair frames, demonstrating the versatility and high performance of our titanium tubes.

Titanium Grade 9, sometimes lovingly referred to as 'half 6-4', is a marvel of modern metallurgy. This exceptional alloy, composed of 3% aluminium and 2.5% vanadium, offers a remarkable 20 to 50% increase in mechanical strength compared to its peers.commercially pure (CP)titanium grades. It stands out not only for its strength but also for its superior formability and weldability, outperforming even the widely-used Ti-6Al-4V (Grade 5).
Titanium Grade 18 (UNS R56322) mirrors all the exceptional qualities of Grade 9, but with an added advantage. The inclusion of 0.04 - 0.08% palladium significantly enhances its corrosion resistance. Both Grades 9 and 18 share a density of 4.48 g/cc, making them less than 60% the weight of steel.
This innovative material showcases outstanding corrosion resistance in a range of environments, from oxidising and neutral to mildly reducing media, including chlorides. The palladium-enhanced Titanium Grade 18 further excels in corrosion resistance, withstanding oxidation up to 600°F (316°C).
