Type 321 is a titanium-stabilized chromium nickel austenitic stainless steel, offering corrosion resistance comparable to 304/304L. It excels within the 800-1500˚F temperature range, fortified against chromium carbide precipitation through titanium addition. This results in the formation of titanium carbides, ensuring superior intergranular corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance up to 1500˚F, and enhanced creep and stress rupture strength compared to 304/304L. Additionally, Type 321 maintains strength at low temperatures and exhibits non-magnetic properties when annealed.
