DAXUN specializes in producing and stocking Grade 2 commercially pure titanium plates (UNS R50400), available in thicknesses from 0.5mm to 120mm. Renowned as the 'workhorse' of the commercially pure titanium family, Grade 2 Titanium Plate offers a superior combination of high strength, ductility, and outstanding corrosion resistance, making it indispensable for various industrial applications.
The Grade 2 Titanium Plate stands out as a commercially pure titanium material that provides an exceptional balance between strength and ductility. It boasts excellent impact strength, is easily weldable, and offers remarkable corrosion resistance in highly oxidizing environments, alkaline media, brine solutions, weakly reducing environments, and wet ***. Additionally, it demonstrates superb resistance to seawater and salt solutions.
Titanium's low density, high strength-to-weight ratio, and unparalleled corrosion resistance make it an ideal material for diverse applications. It effectively combats stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion in chloride solutions up to 70°C. With a melting point of 1660°C, Grade 2 Titanium Plate is the premier alloy choice for demanding industrial applications that require both good ductility and corrosion resistance.
Grade 2 Titanium Plate is favored for its lower density, making it ideal in weight-sensitive scenarios. Key industries utilizing titanium alloys include medical, chemical equipment, and aerospace. The strength and corrosion resistance of Grade 2 Titanium Plate make it perfect for marine, chemical processing, and desalination applications. Typical uses encompass oil and gas components, reaction and pressure vessels, piping systems, power, heat exchangers, linings, flue gas desulfurization systems, and numerous other industrial components. Common standards include ASTM B265, ASTM F67, AMS4911, AMS4928, AMS4943, AMS4944, AMS4945, AMS4967, and AMS4972.
At Daxun, we rigorously conduct multiple quality assurance tests, including flattening, pitting and resistance, mechanical, hardness, and material positive identification tests, among others. These tests ensure the material's suitability for its intended application. Throughout production, we meticulously measure the product's diameter, thickness, and surface. Our standard delivery time is 5-7 days, with special size products delivered within 15-20 days.
Titanium Grade 2 Plates are available in cold-rolled thicknesses from 0.3mm to 6.0mm and in hot-rolled or heat-treated conditions from 4.76mm to 155mm. These plates are produced through longitudinal and transverse rolling and can undergo creep flattening as a heat treatment to relieve internal stresses and meet special flatness requirements. Plates can be supplied in cut blank form, allowing parts with complex shapes to be cut from a parent plate. Further processing, whether mechanical or chemical, is tailored to the customer's specifications.
