The Gr5 grade 5 Ti6Al4V titanium plate, also known as a titanium alloy plate, contains 90% titanium, 6% aluminum, and 4% vanadium. It is an α-β type titanium alloy, where aluminum stabilizes the α phase and vanadium the β phase. This alloy is celebrated for its excellent comprehensive and process performance, high room and high-temperature strength, significant creep resistance, thermal stability, and unparalleled fatigue and *** growth resistance, even in seawater. Its remarkable fracture toughness and resistance to hot salt stress corrosion, combined with superior process plasticity and superplasticity, make it adaptable to various processing and welding methods.

Corrosion Resistance

Gr1, Gr2, Gr3, and Gr5 titanium plates are highly resistant to seawater and marine atmospheric corrosion. While the corrosion resistance across these grades is similar, their mechanical properties vary with oxygen and iron content.
