These premium titanium tubes are meticulously crafted through hot-rolling or hot-extrusion processes, followed by precision straightening and machining of both internal and external diameters. The surfaces are polished to achieve superior finish. Available in both heat-treated and non-heat-treated forms, these tubes undergo 100% ultrasonic flaw detection to ensure impeccable quality.
Titanium Tube Materials Available:
Hot-rolled Titanium Tubes: Outer Diameter (OD) ranges from 19mm to 325mm, with wall thicknesses spanning 9mm to 30mm, and lengths extending up to 5000mm-all customizable based on specific agreements between the manufacturer and the customer. Hot-extruded Titanium Tubes: OD varies from 50mm to 160mm, wall thickness from 7mm to 35mm, and lengths up to 3000mm, custom-tailored to meet precise customer specifications.
Cold-finished Titanium Tubes
Cold-finished Titanium Tubes are expertly provided in heat-treated forms, with surface etching and subjected to stringent hydrostatic or ultrasonic tests as per manufacturing specifications. Available sizes include: OD from 6mm to 89mm, wall thickness from 0.5mm to 11mm, and lengths extending up to 6000mm, all customizable to customer requirements.

Titanium Welded Pipes
DaXun manufactures and supplies titanium pipes with diameters ranging from 12.7mm to 38.1mm (0.47in to 1.5in), wall thickness from 0.4mm to 1.65mm (0.016in to 0.065in), and lengths up to 25000mm. Available in Electrical Gr1, Gr2, and Gr12 titanium alloys, these pipes cater to engineering and chemical industries. The titanium welded pipes are produced from flat rolled raw materials using automatic tungsten inert gas (argon) welding on electric pipe welders, followed by in-line heat treatment. Each pipe undergoes comprehensive mechanical testing, precise geometrical measurements, as well as 100% ultrasonic and eddy current testing, along with pneumatic or hydrostatic tests. INTRODUCTION

  • DAXUN Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 Alloy Tube (UNS R56400) stands as the pinnacle of titanium alloys, celebrated for its exceptional strength and versatility. This superior duplex alpha+beta titanium alloy features aluminium as an alpha stabiliser and vanadium as a beta stabiliser. With the capability to perform at cryogenic temperatures up to 800°F (427°C), DAXUN Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 is the alloy of choice for demanding applications. This alloy is integral in annealing, solution treatment, and ageing processes. It is indispensable in the production of compressor blades, discs, and rings for jet engines; critical fuselage and space capsule components; pressure vessels; *** cases; helicopter rotor hubs; fasteners; and other critical forgings requiring a superior strength-to-weight ratio.
  • The alloy production begins with vacuum arc remelting (VAR), electron beam (EB), or plasma arc hearth melting (PAM). This is followed by one or two additional remelting steps in a vacuum arc.

HEAT TREATMENT

  • Annealing at temperatures between 1,700 - 1,900°F (927 - 1,038°C) is performed to achieve high hardness, tensile strength, and fatigue resistance.
  • DAXUN 6-4™, Grade 5 Alloy can undergo various heat treatment processes.
  • 1. Anneal: 1,275 - 1,400°F (691 - 760°C), ½ to 2 hours, air or furnace cool
  • 2. Stress Relief Anneal: 1,000 - 1,200°F (538 - 649°C), 1 to 8 hours, air or furnace cool
  • 3. Solution Heat Treatment: 1,675 - 1,750°F (913 - 954°C), 1 hour, water quench
  • 4. Aging Treatment: 975 - 1,025°F (524 - 552°C), 4 to 8 hours, air cool
  • Optimal properties are achieved in the solution treated and aged condition, particularly with small cross-sections that undergo rapid quenching.
    Larger section sizes and/or delays in quenching may result in properties that fall below optimum levels.

HARDNESS

Typical hardness levels in the annealed condition range from Rockwell C 30-34, and in the solution treated and aged condition, from Rockwell C 35-39.

Introduction
DAXUN Ti-6Al-4V Titanium Tube, Grade 5 (UNS R56400), is the most widely utilized titanium alloy. This duplex alpha+beta titanium alloy incorporates aluminum as the alpha stabilizer and vanadium as the beta stabilizer. Known for its high strength, it is suitable for use at low temperatures around 800°F (427°C). The ATI Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy is ideal for annealing, solution treating, and aging. It is extensively used in high-strength, weight-critical applications such as compressor blades, disks, and rings for jet engines; fuselage and space capsule components; pressure vessels; *** cases; helicopter rotor hubs; fasteners; and critical forgings.
The alloy is initially melted using vacuum arc (VAR), electron beam (EB), or plasma arc hearth melting (PAM). Remelting is performed in one or two vacuum arc steps.

Optimum Properties

Solution treated and aged conditions yield optimum properties with rapid quenching for small cross sections. Larger cross sections or delayed quenching might result in suboptimal properties.

In the annealed state, typical hardness is Rockwell C 30-34, and in the solution-treated and aged state, it is approximately Rockwell C 35-39.
