DAXUN produces and stocks Grade 2 commercially pure titanium plates (UNS R50400) in thicknesses ranging from 0.5mm to 120mm. Grade 2 Titanium Plate (UNS R50400) serves as the 'workhorse' within the commercially pure titanium family, offering a magnificent blend of high strength, ductility, and exceptional corrosion resistance across numerous industrial applications.
Grade 2 Titanium Plate stands out as a commercially pure titanium plate that excellently balances strength and ductility. It boasts good impact strength and is easily weldable. This plate exhibits superb corrosion resistance in highly oxidizing environments, alkaline media, brine solutions, weakly reducing environments, and wet ***. Additionally, it offers exemplary resistance to seawater and salt solutions.
Titanium's low density, high strength-to-weight ratio, and robust corrosion resistance make it an indispensable material for myriad applications. It effectively combats stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion in chloride solutions below 70°C. With a melting point of 1660°C, Grade 2 Titanium Plate is the preferred alloy for most industrial applications requiring excellent ductility and corrosion resistance.
Grade 2 Titanium Plate, with its lower density, is ideal where weight is a critical factor. Key industries utilizing this alloy include medical, chemical equipment, and aerospace sectors. Its strength and corrosion resistance also render it perfect for marine, chemical processing, and desalination applications. Typical uses include oil and gas components, reaction and pressure vessels, piping systems, power, heat exchangers, linings, flue gas desulfurization systems, and numerous other industrial components. Common standards include: ASTM B265, ASTM F67, AMS4911, AMS4928, AMS4943, AMS4944, AMS4945, AMS4967, AMS4972.
Daxun conducts an array of quality assurance tests including flattening, pitting and resistance, mechanical, hardness, material positive identification, expansion, and more. These tests guarantee the material's suitability for its intended applications. Throughout production, we measure the product's diameter, thickness, and surface. Our standard delivery period is 5-7 days, extending to 15-20 days for special size products.
Titanium Grade 2 Plates are available in cold rolled thicknesses from 0.3 mm to 6.0 mm, and hot rolled thicknesses from 4.76 mm to 155 mm. These plates are supplied in either hot rolled or heat-treated conditions, and can be produced via longitudinal and transverse rolling. For specific needs, creep flattening can be applied as a heat treatment to relieve internal stresses and achieve special flatness requirements. Plates can also be supplied in cut blank form, meaning parts with complex shapes are cut from a parent plate. Additional processing can be mechanical or chemical, based on customer requirements.
