Titanium round bars remain one of Daxun Alloy China's most sought-after titanium products. The production process for Grade 1 Titanium bars is highly mechanized, making it distinct from that of blocks and plates. These bars are available in over forty unique grades, with Grade 5, Grade 2, and Grade 1 being the most prevalent. They come in various diameters, reaching up to 14 inches. Grade 1 Pure Titanium, known for its superior ductility and cold formability, is ideal for deep drawing applications. Renowned for its exceptional general and seawater corrosion resistance, Titanium Grade 1 also withstands oxidizing, neutral, and mildly reducing media, such as chlorides. Its low density (about half that of nickel-based alloys), coupled with a high strength-to-weight ratio and corrosion resistance, positions it as an optimal choice for challenging chemical environments.
DAXUN® Ti Grade 1 is a commercially pure (CP) titanium bar, distinguished by the following attributes:
Daxun offers top-notch titanium bars known for their high performance, with the capability to customize production based on customer agreements:
Daxun conducts comprehensive quality assurance tests, including mechanical tests like area tensile, chemical analysis, material positive identification (PMI), micro and macro tests, intergranular corrosion (IGC), ultrasonic flaw detection, pitting and resistance tests, hardness tests, material positive identification, and expansion tests. These stringent evaluations ensure that Grade 2 Titanium Rods and Grade 2 Titanium Round Bars meet application requirements. During production, we meticulously measure the product's diameter, thickness, and surface.

AMS 4928 - Bars, Forgings, and Forging Stock (Annealed)
AMS 4965 - Bars, Forgings (Solution treated and aged)
AMS 4967 - Bars, Forgings (Annealed, Heat Treatable)
In the solution treated and aged condition, rapid quenching of small sections achieves optimum properties. For larger sections and/or delayed quenching, properties may be suboptimal.
The typical hardness for the annealed condition is Rockwell C 30-34, while the solution and aged condition is around Rockwell C 35-39.
Machining the Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy bar can be accomplished using methods designed for austenitic stainless steel. This involves slow machining speeds, high feed rates, rigid tooling, and copious amounts of non-chlorinated cutting fluids for optimal results.
The Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy rod is highly weldable whether in the annealed state or in the solution and partially aged condition, with post-weld heat treatment facilitating aging. Essential precautions include avoiding contamination by oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen. Fusion welding should occur in an inert gas-filled chamber or utilize inert gas for welding the molten metal and nearby heated zones, using a tail shield. Spot, seam, and flash welding can also be performed without a protective atmosphere.
Care must be taken with the Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 titanium alloy rod to avoid contamination from hydrogen due to improper pickling, and from oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon during forging, heat treating, brazing, etc. Such contamination can lead to a reduction in ductility, negatively impacting notch sensitivity and forming characteristics.
We produce bars tailored to your specific requirements.
Our bars offer excellent surface quality and straightness, with perfect roundness and the tightest diameter tolerances (following ISO 286-2 up to h5). They are available in straightened, ground, and polished conditions.

Titanium should not be used with strong reducing acids, fluoride solutions, pure oxygen, or anhydrous ***.
The general corrosion rates for Grade 2 titanium in a variety of media are shown in Table 1. CP titanium exhibits good corrosion resistance to a wide variety of environments including:
CP titanium exhibits good resistance to crevice corrosion in salt solutions compared to stainless steels. CP titanium will not exhibit crevice corrosion at temperatures under 80 °C (176°F) regardless of pH, even under super chlorinated conditions.
Grade 2 titanium shows excellent resistance to stress corrosion (SCC) cracking in hot chloride solutions and is immune to sec in seawater.
Titanium shows excellent resistance to erosion in flowing environments, ensuring long-lasting performance even in challenging conditions.
Experience the unmatched resilience of our titanium rods when exposed to seawater with velocities up to 130 ft/sec (40 m/sec), showing negligible material degradation. Even the presence of abrasive particles like sand has only a minimal effect on corrosion resistance.
Our titanium products demonstrate exceptional resistance to hydrogen absorption, even when exposed to seawater at elevated temperatures. Generally, hydrogen absorption only takes place when the following conditions are simultaneously met:
Titanium alloys exhibit an unparalleled immunity to all types of microbiologically influenced corrosion. Although biofouling can occur due to the non-toxic nature of titanium towards marine organisms, it can be efficiently minimized through chlorination or by increasing the water velocity through heat exchangers.
Unlike many materials, our titanium rods do not suffer from reduced fatigue performance in seawater. Both fatigue endurance limits and fatigue *** growth rates remain consistent, whether tested in air or seawater.
In the galvanic series, titanium is positioned towards the noble end, near stainless steels, and typically acts as the cathode when coupled with other metals. This means titanium itself remains unharmed by galvanic corrosion but can accelerate the corrosion of the less noble metals. Pairing titanium with more noble metals, such as graphite, further enhances its natural passivity.
Grade 2 Titanium Rod does not exhibit degradation in fatigue properties when exposed to seawater. Fatigue endurance limits and *** growth rates are identical, whether tested in air or seawater.
CP2 Grade Titanium Rod offers excellent weldability, provided the necessary precautions are followed. Due to titanium's reactivity, an inert gas shield must be applied to both the outer and inner diameters of the rod. Additionally, the material should be free from grease or oil contamination.
Grade 2 Titanium Rod is typically welded using manual or automatic TIG welding, with or without filler wire. To minimize the heat-affected zone, low heat input should be employed. Post-weld heat treatment is generally not required.
