Titanium round bars are one of Daxun Alloy China's flagship titanium products. The manufacturing process for Grade 1 Titanium bars is more mechanized than that of blocks and plates. Available in over forty distinct grades, the most popular being Grade 5, Grade 2, and Grade 1. These bars come in a range of diameters up to 14 inches. Pure Titanium Grade 1 boasts excellent ductility and cold formability, making it ideal for deep drawing. Known for its outstanding general and seawater corrosion resistance, as well as its resistance to oxidizing, neutral, and mildly reducing media such as chlorides. Its low density (about half that of nickel-based alloys), high strength-to-weight ratio, and corrosion resistance make it an optimal choice for various harsh chemical conditions.
DAXUN® Ti Grade 1 is a commercially pure (CP) titanium bar with the following premium characteristics:
Daxun produces high-quality titanium bars with top-tier performance and can also manufacture according to customer specifications:
Daxun conducts several quality assurance tests, including mechanical tests like area tensile, chemical analysis, material positive identification (PMI) test, micro and macro testing, intergranular corrosion (IGC) test, ultrasonic flaw detection, pitting and resistance tests, hardness test, expansion test, and more. These tests ensure that Grade 2 Titanium Rod and Grade 2 Titanium Round Bar materials meet application requirements. We also measure the product's diameter, thickness, and surface during production.

AMS 4928 - Bars, Forgings, and Forging Stock (Annealed)
AMS 4965 - Bars, Forgings (Solution treated and aged)
AMS 4967 - Bars, Forgings (Annealed, Heat Treatable)
In the solution-treated and aged state, rapid quenching of small sections achieves optimal properties. Larger sections or delayed quenching may yield suboptimal characteristics.
Typically, the hardness in the annealed condition is Rockwell C 30-34, and approximately Rockwell C 35-39 in the solution-treated and aged condition.
The Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy bar is amenable to machining using austenitic stainless steel methods, necessitating slow machining speeds, high feeds, sturdy tools, and ample non-chlorinated cutting fluids.
Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy rod is highly weldable, whether in the annealed state or the solution and partially aged condition, with aging accomplished during post-weld heat treatment. Measures must be taken to avert contamination by oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen. Fusion welding can be conducted within an inert gas-filled chamber or using inert gas to secure the molten metal and adjacent heated areas, with a tail shield. Spot, seam, and flash welding can be conducted without needing a protective atmosphere.
Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 titanium alloy rod is susceptible to contamination by hydrogen from improper pickling and by oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon during forging, heat treating, brazing, etc. Such contamination can reduce ductility, negatively impacting notch sensitivity and forming characteristics.
We manufacture bars tailored to your specific requirements.
Impeccable surface quality and straightness, flawless roundness, and the narrowest diameter tolerances (according to ISO 286-2, up to h5). Available in straightened, ground, polished conditions.

Note: Titanium should not be exposed to strong reducing acids, fluoride solutions, pure oxygen, or anhydrous ***.
Table 1 illustrates the general corrosion rates for Grade 2 titanium across diverse media. CP titanium demonstrates superior corrosion resistance in various environments, including:
CP titanium offers excellent crevice corrosion resistance in salt solutions, outperforming stainless steels. It resists crevice corrosion up to 80°C (176°F), regardless of pH, even under super-chlorinated conditions.
Grade 2 titanium exhibits exceptional resistance to stress corrosion cracking (SCC) in hot chloride solutions and remains immune to SCC in seawater.
Titanium excels in resisting erosion in flowing environments.
Titanium exhibits remarkable resistance to seawater, even at high velocities up to 130 ft/sec (40 m/sec), with minimal adverse effects on the material. Even the presence of abrasive particles like sand has only a minor impact on its corrosion resistance.
Titanium shows no significant hydrogen absorption when exposed to seawater, even under higher temperature conditions. Hydrogen absorption in titanium typically occurs only when these three specific conditions are met:
Titanium alloys demonstrate exceptional immunity to all forms of microbiologically influenced corrosion. Although they are non-toxic to marine organisms, which can lead to biofouling in seawater, this can be effectively controlled through chlorination or by increasing the water velocity through the heat exchanger.
Unlike many materials, titanium does not exhibit decreased fatigue performance in seawater. Its fatigue endurance limits and *** growth rates remain consistent whether tested in air or seawater.
In galvanic series, titanium is positioned near the noble end, close to stainless steels, and typically acts as a cathode when paired with other metals. This means titanium will resist galvanic corrosion but may accelerate corrosion in the coupled metal. Coupling titanium with more noble metals like graphite further enhances its passivity.
Grade 2 Titanium Rod maintains its fatigue properties in seawater, showing no degradation. Its fatigue endurance limits and *** growth rates are consistent whether tested in air or seawater.
CP2 Grade Titanium Rod offers excellent weldability when proper precautions are taken. Due to titanium's reactivity, an inert gas shield is required on both the OD and ID of the rod. Additionally, the material must be free from grease or oil contamination.
Grade 2 Titanium Rod is typically welded using manual or automatic TIG welding, with or without filler wire. Low heat input is recommended to minimize the heat-affected zone. Post-weld heat treatment is generally not performed on titanium rod.
