Exemplary Corrosion Resistance
Grade 410 exhibits remarkable resistance against dry air, fresh water, mild bases, acids, various food environments, steam, and hot gases.
To achieve peak heat and corrosion resistance, 410 must be hardened. It performs best when maintained in a smooth condition.
Outstanding Heat Resistance
It demonstrates excellent resistance to scaling up to approximately 650°C. However, it is generally not recommended for utilization at temperatures ranging from 400°C to 580°C due to a reduction in mechanical properties.
Optimal Heat Treatment Procedures
For full annealing, heat between 815-900°C, follow with a slow furnace cool to 600°C, and then air cool.
For process annealing, heat between 650-760°C and then air cool.
Effortless Welding
Grade 410 is easily welded by all standard methods. However, preheating to 150-260°C and post-weld annealing are recommended to minimize the risk of cracking.

Each stainless steel sheet we supply is coated with a protective film on the finished side, which can be easily peeled off after fabrication or installation to prevent wear and marks. The back side is left unfinished.
