Exceptional Features of the 410 Plate
Corrosion Resistance
The 410 stainless steel plate is impressively resistant to dry air, fresh water, mild bases and acids, various food substances, steam, and hot gases.
It must undergo hardening to achieve peak heat and corrosion resistance. Optimal performance is achieved when the surface is impeccably smooth.
Heat Resistance
Exhibits excellent resistance to scaling up to approximately 650°C. However, it is generally not recommended for use between 400 and 580°C due to a reduction in mechanical properties.
Heat Treatment
Perform a full anneal at 815-900°C, followed by a slow furnace cool to 600°C, then proceed with air cooling.
For process annealing, heat between 650-760°C and then air cool.
Welding
This material is easily weldable using all standard methods. Preheating to 150-260°C and post-weld annealing are necessary to minimize the risk of cracking.
