Titanium round bars are among the most sought-after products from Daxun Alloy China. Unlike blocks and plates, their manufacturing process for Grade 1 Titanium bars is highly mechanized. We offer Titanium bars in over forty distinct grades, with Grade 5, Grade 2, and Grade 1 being the most popular. Our Titanium round bars come in a wide range of diameters, up to 14 inches. Pure Titanium Grade 1 is celebrated for its exceptional ductility and cold formability, making it ideal for deep drawing. It is renowned for its outstanding resistance to general and seawater corrosion, as well as to oxidizing, neutral, and mildly reducing media such as chlorides. With a low density (about half that of nickel-based alloys), a high strength-to-weight ratio, and robust corrosion resistance, Titanium is an excellent choice for various harsh chemical environments.
DAXUN® Ti Grade 1 is a commercially pure titanium bar with the following outstanding characteristics:
Daxun excels in producing high-quality, high-performance titanium bars and can also manufacture according to customer specifications:
Daxun conducts extensive quality assurance tests, including mechanical tests like area tensile, chemical analysis, material positive identification (PMI), micro and macro testing, intergranular corrosion (IGC) testing, ultrasonic flaw detection, pitting and resistance testing, hardness testing, expansion testing, etc. These tests ensure that the Grade 2 Titanium Rod and Grade 2 Titanium Round Bar materials meet application requirements. Throughout the production process, we meticulously measure the diameter, thickness, and surface of the product.

AMS 4928 - Bars, Forgings, and Forging Stock (Annealed)
AMS 4965 - Bars, Forgings (Solution treated and aged)
AMS 4967 - Bars, Forgings (Annealed, Heat Treatable)
In the solution-treated and aged condition, rapid quenching of smaller sections yields optimal properties. Larger sections and delayed quenching may result in suboptimal properties.
The typical hardness in the annealed condition is Rockwell C 30-34, while the solution-treated and aged condition reaches Rockwell C 35-39.
The Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy bar can be expertly machined using austenitic stainless steel machining techniques. This involves slow machining speeds, high feed rates, rigid tools, and the liberal use of non-chlorinated cutting fluids to ensure precision and performance.
In the annealed or solution and partially aged conditions, Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy rod is highly weldable. Ageing is achieved during post-weld heat treatment. Care must be taken to prevent contamination by oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen. Fusion welding is best performed in an inert gas-filled chamber or with inert gas shielding the molten metal and adjacent heated zones, using a tail shield. Spot, seam, and flash welding can be done without a protective atmosphere.
The Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 titanium alloy rod is susceptible to contamination from hydrogen during improper pickling, and from oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon during processes like forging, heat treating, and brazing. Such contamination can lead to a reduction in ductility, negatively impacting notch sensitivity and forming characteristics.
We produce bars tailored to your specific requirements.

Titanium should not be used with strong reducing acids, fluoride solutions, pure oxygen, or anhydrous ***.
The general corrosion rates for Grade 2 titanium in a variety of media are shown in Table 1. CP titanium exhibits good corrosion resistance to a wide variety of environments including:
CP titanium exhibits good resistance to crevice corrosion in salt solutions compared to stainless steels. CP titanium will not exhibit crevice corrosion at temperatures under 80 °C (176°F) regardless of pH, even under super chlorinated conditions.
Grade 2 titanium shows excellent resistance to stress corrosion (SCC) cracking in hot chloride solutions and is immune to sec in seawater.
Titanium shows excellent resistance to erosion in flowing environments, ensuring long-lasting performance.
Even when exposed to seawater velocities of up to 130 ft/sec (40 m/sec), the material shows negligible effects. The presence of abrasive particles like sand has minimal impact on corrosion, ensuring durability and longevity.
Titanium does not significantly absorb hydrogen when exposed to seawater, even at elevated temperatures. Hydrogen absorption typically occurs only under specific conditions such as:
Titanium alloys showcase exceptional resistance to all types of microbiologically influenced corrosion. Despite their non-toxic nature towards marine organisms, biofouling can occur in seawater. This issue can be mitigated through chlorination or by increasing water velocity in heat exchangers.
Unlike many materials, titanium does not exhibit reduced fatigue performance in seawater. Fatigue endurance limits and *** growth rates remain consistent whether tested in air or seawater.
In the galvanic series, titanium is positioned near noble materials like stainless steels, typically acting as the cathode when paired with other metals. Consequently, titanium remains unaffected by galvanic corrosion but may accelerate the corrosion of the other metal. When coupled with more noble metals like graphite, titanium's passivity is further enhanced.
Grade 2 Titanium Rod maintains its fatigue properties in seawater, showing no degradation. Fatigue endurance limits and *** growth rates are identical whether tested in air or seawater.
CP2 Grade Titanium Rod is highly weldable, provided specific precautions are taken. Due to titanium's reactivity, an inert gas shield must be applied to both the outer and inner diameters of the rod. The material must also be clean of any grease or oil contamination.
Grade 2 Titanium Rod is typically welded using manual or automatic TIG welding, with or without filler wire. Low heat input is recommended to minimize the heat-affected zone. Post-weld heat treatment is generally not required.
