Type 321 is a titanium-stabilized chromium nickel austenitic stainless steel that boasts corrosion resistance comparable to 304/304L. Perfect for use in the 800-1500˚F temperature range, it is stabilized against chromium carbide precipitation by incorporating titanium, which creates titanium carbides. This results in superior intergranular corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance up to 1500˚F, and enhanced creep and stress rupture qualities beyond that of 304/304L. Additionally, Type 321 maintains its strength at low temperatures and remains non-magnetic when annealed.
