Typical uses for 430 Stainless Steel include:
430 (1.4016) Stainless Steel Sheet is a ferritic stainless steel classified based on its high chromium content. Chromium content ranges from 12 to 180, and the increased chromium content gives this stainless steel good ductility and formability. It also resists corrosion from strong acids and, due to the high chromium content, has good oxidation resistance. The corrosion resistance of stainless steel is maximized when it is polished or ground. The metal is annealed in order to eliminate its brittleness at room temperature after heating. 430 Grade Stainless Steel Sheets in a Variety of Finishes
Our stainless steel sheets (sometimes called steel sheets) are available in a range of beautiful finishes: brushed finish, 2B smooth finish or 8K mirror finish.
The finished side of each stainless steel sheet we supply is coated with a film. This film is easily peeled off after fabrication or installation and protects the surface of the material from wear and marks. The back side is unfinished.
