Titanium round bars are quintessentially one of Daxun Alloy China's flagship products. The Grade 1 Titanium bars undergo a more mechanized manufacturing process compared to blocks and plates. Available in over forty distinct grades, the most sought-after include Grade 5, Grade 2, and of course, Grade 1. These bars come in diameters up to 14 inches. Pure Titanium Grade 1 is renowned for its exceptional ductility and cold formability, making it ideal for deep drawing. Moreover, Titanium Grade 1 is celebrated for its superior general and seawater corrosion resistance along with its resilience to oxidizing, neutral, and mildly reducing environments, such as chlorides. With its low density-approximately half that of nickel-based alloys-remarkable strength-to-weight ratio, and outstanding corrosion resistance, it is the material of choice for a plethora of demanding chemical conditions.
DAXUN® Ti Grade 1 epitomizes commercially pure (CP) titanium bars, boasting the following attributes:
At Daxun, we pride ourselves on producing high-performance titanium bars, tailored to meet customer specifications:
Daxun upholds rigorous quality assurance protocols, including mechanical tests (area tensile and hardness), chemical analysis, PMI tests, micro and macro examinations, intergranular corrosion (IGC) tests, ultrasonic flaw detection, pitting resistance tests, and expansion tests. These stringent checks ensure that both Grade 2 Titanium Rods and Round Bars meet all application requirements. We meticulously measure the diameter, thickness, and surface finish during production.

AMS 4928 - Bars, Forgings, and Forging Stock (Annealed)
AMS 4965 - Bars, Forgings (Solution treated and aged)
AMS 4967 - Bars, Forgings (Annealed, Heat Treatable)
In the solution treated and aged condition, rapid quenching of smaller sections yields optimal properties. However, larger sections and delayed quenching might not achieve the same level of properties.
The typical hardness in the annealed state is Rockwell C 30-34, and Rockwell C 35-39 in the solution and aged condition.
Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy bar is machinable using austenitic stainless steel methods. Utilize slow machining speeds, high feeds, and rigid tools, complemented by significant volumes of non-chlorinated cutting fluids for optimal results.
Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy rod is highly weldable in its annealed state or when partially aged, with aging achieved during post-weld heat treatment. Precautions must be taken to prevent contamination from oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen. Fusion welding is best performed in an inert gas-filled chamber or with inert gas to protect the molten metal and adjacent heated zones, often with a tail shield. Additionally, spot, seam, and flash welding are possible without protective atmospheres.
Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 titanium alloy rod can suffer from hydrogen contamination through improper pickling, as well as oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon contamination during forging, heat treating, and brazing. This contamination may reduce ductility, adversely impacting notch sensitivity and forming characteristics.
We produce bars tailored to your specifications.
Our bars feature excellent surface quality and straightness, perfect roundness, and the tightest diameter tolerances (according to ISO 286-2 up to h5). They are available in straightened, ground, and polished conditions.

Titanium should be avoided in environments containing strong reducing acids, fluoride solutions, pure oxygen, or anhydrous ***.
The general corrosion rates for Grade 2 titanium across various media are presented in Table 1. Commercially Pure (CP) titanium demonstrates exceptional corrosion resistance in numerous environments, including:
CP titanium offers excellent resistance to crevice corrosion in salt solutions, outperforming stainless steels. CP titanium resists crevice corrosion at temperatures below 80°C (176°F), regardless of pH, even in highly chlorinated conditions.
Grade 2 titanium provides outstanding resistance to stress corrosion cracking (SCC) in hot chloride solutions and remains immune to SCC in seawater environments.
Titanium exhibits superb resistance to erosion in flowing conditions, ensuring unmatched durability.
Our high-performance titanium material demonstrates an impressive resistance to seawater, even at velocities reaching up to 130 ft/sec (40 m/sec), with negligible impact. Notably, its resilience is barely affected by abrasive particles such as sand, ensuring enduring corrosion resistance.
Titanium's interaction with seawater shows no significant absorption of hydrogen, even at elevated temperatures. Hydrogen absorption typically only occurs under specific conditions, which include:
Titanium alloys showcase a remarkable immunity to all forms of microbiologically influenced corrosion. Despite their non-toxic nature towards marine organisms leading to biofouling in seawater, this can effectively be mitigated through chlorination or by increasing the water velocity within heat exchangers.
Uniquely resistant, titanium maintains its fatigue performance in both air and seawater environments. It shows no reduction in fatigue endurance limits or differences in fatigue *** growth rates, ensuring consistent durability.
Positioned near the noble end of the galvanic series, close to stainless steels, titanium typically acts as the cathode when paired with other metals. This means it remains unaffected by galvanic corrosion while potentially accelerating the corrosion of the coupled metal. When paired with more noble metals like graphite, titanium's passivity is further enhanced.
Grade 2 Titanium Rod stands out as it maintains its fatigue properties in seawater environments. Its fatigue endurance limits and *** growth rates remain consistent, showcasing its superior resilience.
CP2 Grade Titanium Rod offers excellent weldability, provided the necessary precautions are observed. Given titanium's reactivity, an inert gas shield must cover both the OD and ID of the rod, and the material must be free from grease or oil contamination.
Typically, Grade 2 Titanium Rod is welded using manual or automatic TIG welding methods, with or without filler wire. To minimize the heat-affected zone, low heat input is recommended. Post-welding heat treatment is generally unnecessary.
