Daxun Alloy's Pure Titanium Grade 1 Tubes Include:
Seamless and welded titanium tubes, renowned for their superb ductility and exceptional cold formability, make them an ideal choice for deep drawing applications. These Grade 1 titanium tubes offer unmatched general and seawater corrosion resistance and exhibit excellent resilience to oxidizing, neutral, and slightly reducing media, including chlorides.
Titanium's notable low density, about half that of nickel-based alloys, combined with its high strength, light weight, and remarkable corrosion resistance, renders it an unmatched choice for a variety of challenging chemical conditions. Execution standards include: ASTM B338 | ASTM B265 | ASME SB265 | ASTM F67 | ISO 5832-2 | 3.7025 | UNS R50250.
Grade 2 Titanium Tube (UNS R50400 / Werkstoff WS 3.7034)
Widely acknowledged as the most utilized titanium tube for industrial purposes, Grade 2 Titanium Tube offers an exceptional balance of moderate strength and reasonable ductility. It delivers superior corrosion resistance in highly oxidizing and slightly reducing environments, including chlorides. This makes it indispensable in chemical and offshore industries, aircraft manufacturing, heat exchangers, hypochlorite systems, fire water systems, ballast water systems, industrial and aerospace components, CPI equipment, and piping applications.
Fabrication
Titanium Grade 2 excellently accommodates cold forming by standard methods. While it is readily machinable, it's crucial to use sharp tools and ample coolant to maintain efficiency. Similar to machining austenitic stainless steels, the process requires deep, continuous cuts with slow feeds and speeds.
Stock Availability
Daxun Alloys proudly stocks CP 2 Grade Titanium Seamless and Welded Pipes in a wide range of sizes to meet diverse requirements.
Weight Reduction
CP 2 Grade Titanium Tubes, characterized by their low density and exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, are perfect for applications necessitating weight reduction without compromising strength. These tubes are cold formable, exhibit excellent ductility, and can be welded using conventional TIG and MIG processes, with inert gas shielding to prevent weld zone embrittlement.
Crystal Structure
At ambient temperature, ASTM B338 Grade 2 Titanium Tube exhibits an alpha (hexagonal close-packed) crystal structure, identical to commercially pure titanium grades 1 and 3. Upon heating to about 885°C (1625°F), it transforms into a beta (body-centered cubic) structure. The transformation temperature can be adjusted based on impurities or alloying elements. The addition of these elements results in two temperature zones: the alpha transformation zone (below which the alloy is all alpha) and the beta transformation zone (above which the alloy is all beta). Within these temperatures, both alpha and beta forms coexist. Typical alpha and beta transformation temperatures for Grade 2 Titanium are 890°C (1635°F) and 913°C (1675°F), respectively.
Grade 2 Titanium Seamless Pipe Manufacturing Process
Daxun's ASTM B338 Grade 2 Titanium Seamless Tubes are meticulously crafted from hollow blanks via hot extrusion or oblique rolling and piercing processes, followed by several stages of cold rolling. Throughout the manufacturing process, the tubes maintain continuous perimeters. Key steps in de novo manufacturing include sponge titanium vacuum arc melting, ingot blanking to create hollow blanks, cleaning, cutting, feeding, hot extrusion or oblique rolling with piercing, degreasing, drying, cutting, online annealing and straightening, pickling, multiple cold rolling, degreasing, drying, vacuum annealing, straightening, cutting, pickling, final inspection, marking (DAXUN), and packaging.
Grade 2 Titanium Welded Pipe Manufacturing Process
At Jiangsu Daxun Alloy Co., Ltd., our ASTM B338 Grade 2 titanium welded pipes are crafted from annealed flat-rolled steel plate or steel strip via the state-of-the-art automatic arc welding (TIG) process. Our meticulous production process comprises several critical steps: uncoiling and shearing titanium plates, butt welding, cleaning, pipe forming, TIG welding, and performing rigorous eddy current testing. Following pre-sizing, the pipes undergo annealing, precision reducing, sizing, straightening, another round of eddy current testing, caliper marking, cutting, ultrasonic testing, hydrostatic testing, and final inspection before packaging. Each welded pipe is subjected to at least one stress relief heat treatment post forming and welding. Importantly, Daxun refrains from using any filler materials during the welding process.
Ti-6Al-4V Titanium Pipe - Grade 5 Titanium Tube
Titanium Alloy - (UNS R56400)
Introduction
DAXUN's Ti-6Al-4V Titanium Tube, Grade 5 (UNS R56400) stands as the pinnacle of titanium alloys. This duplex alpha+beta titanium alloy incorporates aluminum as the alpha stabilizer and vanadium as the beta stabilizer, offering exceptional strength for use at temperatures as low as 800°F (427°C). The ATI Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 is ideal for applications requiring annealing, solution treatment, and aging. It is extensively used in critical aerospace components such as jet engine compressor blades, disks, rings, fuselage parts, space capsule components, pressure vessels, *** cases, helicopter rotor hubs, fasteners, and high strength-to-weight ratio forgings.
The initial melting of the alloy is achieved using advanced techniques like vacuum arc (VAR), electron beam (EB), or plasma arc hearth melting (PAM), followed by one or two steps of vacuum arc remelting.
