GENERAL PROPERTIES
The 317L Stainless Steel Pipe incorporates molybdenum in its composition, making it a low-carbon austenitic stainless steel. This enhanced formulation includes higher levels of chromium, nickel, and molybdenum, significantly boosting its corrosion and chemical resistance, particularly against sulfite, acetic, formic, citric, and tartaric acids. Thanks to its low carbon content, the 317L Pipe resists sensitization during welding, and exhibits superior creep, rupture stress, and tensile strength at elevated temperatures. It remains nonmagnetic when annealed but may acquire slight magnetism post-welding.
