Titanium round bars are a hallmark of Daxun Alloy China's titanium product line. The manufacturing process for Grade 1 Titanium bars is highly mechanized compared to blocks and plates. With availability in over forty distinct grades, the most sought-after being Grade 5, Grade 2, and Grade 1, these titanium round bars come in diameters up to 14 inches. Pure Titanium Grade 1 boasts exceptional ductility and cold formability, ideal for deep drawing applications. Renowned for its superior general and seawater corrosion resistance, as well as its resilience against oxidizing, neutral, and mildly reducing media such as chlorides, Titanium Grade 1 is unmatched. Its low density (approximately half that of nickel-based alloys), combined with a high strength-to-weight ratio and outstanding corrosion resistance, positions it as the material of choice for numerous demanding chemical environments.
Discover the Excellence of DAXUN® Ti Grade 1, a commercially pure (CP) titanium bar with these standout characteristics:
Daxun crafts top-tier titanium bars with exceptional performance, tailored to customer specifications:
Daxun conducts rigorous quality assurance tests, including mechanical tests such as area tensile, chemical analysis, material positive identification (PMI), micro and macro testing, intergranular corrosion (IGC) tests, ultrasonic flaw detection, pitting and resistance tests, hardness tests, expansion tests, and more. These comprehensive tests ensure that the Grade 2 Titanium Rod and Grade 2 Titanium Round Bar materials meet application requirements. During the production process, we meticulously measure the diameter, thickness, and surface of each product.

AMS 4928 - Bars, Forgings, and Forging Stock (Annealed)
AMS 4965 - Bars, Forgings (Solution Treated and Aged)
AMS 4967 - Bars, Forgings (Annealed, Heat Treatable)
In the solution-treated and aged condition, rapid quenching of smaller sections yields optimal properties, whereas larger sections and/or delayed cooling may result in suboptimal properties.
Typical hardness in the annealed state ranges from Rockwell C 30-34, escalating to Rockwell C 35-39 when solution treated and aged.
The Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy bar is machinable using techniques similar to those for austenitic stainless steel. Employing slow machining speeds, high feeds, rigid tools, and substantial quantities of non-chlorinated cutting fluids ensures effective machining.
The Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy rod is highly weldable in its annealed condition or when solution and partially aged, with aging completed through post weld heat treatment. Care must be taken to prevent contamination by oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen. Fusion welding should be performed in an inert gas-filled chamber or with inert gas to protect the molten metal and adjacent heated zones, using a tail shield. Additionally, spot, seam, and flash welding can be achieved without a protective atmosphere.
The Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 titanium alloy rod is susceptible to contamination by hydrogen from improper pickling, and by oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon during processes such as forging, heat treating, and brazing. This contamination could result in reduced ductility, negatively impacting notch sensitivity and forming characteristics.
We tailor bar production to meet your specific requirements.
We deliver bars with excellent surface quality, straightness, perfect roundness, and the tightest diameter tolerances (ISO 286-2 up to h5). Available in straightened, ground, and polished conditions.

Avoid using titanium with strong reducing acids, fluoride solutions, pure oxygen, or anhydrous ***.
Grade 2 titanium exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in diverse media, as detailed in Table 1. CP titanium stands resilient in various environments, including:
CP titanium demonstrates exemplary resistance to crevice corrosion in saline environments, outperforming stainless steels. It maintains its integrity at temperatures below 80°C (176°F), irrespective of pH, even in super chlorinated conditions.
Grade 2 titanium exhibits superior resistance to stress corrosion cracking (SCC) in hot chloride solutions, making it completely immune to sec in seawater.
Titanium demonstrates exceptional resistance to erosion in flowing environments.
In seawater with velocities up to 130 ft/sec (40 m/sec), titanium shows negligible corrosion. The presence of abrasive particles, such as sand, only minimally affects the material.
Titanium exposed to seawater does not significantly absorb hydrogen, even at elevated temperatures. Hydrogen absorption occurs only under specific conditions:
Titanium alloys display a unique immunity to all forms of microbiologically influenced corrosion. Biofouling can occur in seawater but can be minimized through chlorination or increased water velocity in heat exchangers.
Titanium maintains its fatigue performance in seawater, showing no reduction in fatigue endurance limits or *** growth rates compared to air.
In the galvanic series, titanium is positioned near noble stainless steels and typically acts as the cathode when paired with other metals. This ensures titanium is unaffected by galvanic corrosion but may accelerate the corrosion of less noble metals. Coupling titanium with noble metals like graphite enhances its passivity.
Grade 2 Titanium Rod maintains its fatigue properties in seawater, with no degradation in endurance limits or *** growth rates.
CP2 Grade Titanium Rod is highly weldable with proper precautions. Due to titanium's reactivity, an inert gas shield is necessary for both the OD and ID of the rod, and the material must be free from grease or oil contamination.
Grade 2 Titanium Rod is often welded via manual or automatic TIG welding, with or without filler wire. To minimize the heat affected zone, low heat input should be used. Post weld heat treatment is typically not required.
