CORROSION RESISTANCE:
- The DAXUN 304/304L Stainless Steel Bar serves as a versatile, general-purpose stainless steel offering excellent resistance to atmospheric corrosion. It also resists corrosion from a diverse range of organic and inorganic chemicals, as well as from food and beverages.
- Additionally, it is utilized in vacuum processing equipment and specialized instruments where high integrity is paramount.
HEAT RESISTANCE:
- Exhibits good oxidation resistance with intermittent use up to 1600°F and continuous use up to 1690°F.
Continuous use of the 304 round bar within the 800-1580°F range is not advisable if subsequent aqueous corrosion resistance is critical.
WELDING CHARACTERISTICS:
- Easily welded using the full range of conventional welding techniques, with the exception of oxyacetylene welding.
- For welding Prodec 304/304L steel, AWS E308L/ ER308L filler metal is recommended.
MACHINABILITY:
- This alloy allows for faster machining speeds, longer tool life, enhanced part quality, and reduced total costs for machined parts.

- Daxun Stainless Steel Products can perform heat treatment on select 400 Series Stainless Steel Bars. This process induces stresses due to hardening, contingent on the metal's chemistry. Heat treating is also applied for tempering, quenching, normalizing, and solution annealing.
POSITIVE MATERIAL IDENTIFICATION (PMI)
- In certain situations, additional positive material identification testing may be required. Daxun Stainless Products can conduct this testing in-house or collaborate with an independent laboratory. Please contact us for your specific requirements.
UT TESTING
- Ultrasonic Testing (UT) employs high-frequency sound energy to conduct examinations and measurements of stainless steel products, aiding in flaw detection/evaluation and dimensional measurements, among other assessments.
