Outstanding Corrosion Resistance
410 stainless steel exhibits excellent resistance to dry air, fresh water, mild bases, and acids, as well as foods, steam, and hot gases, making it versatile in various environments.
For optimized performance, 410 steel must undergo hardening. This maximizes both its heat and corrosion resistance, ensuring the smoothest and most effective results.
Exceptional Heat Resistance
410 stainless steel provides good resistance to scaling at temperatures up to 650°C. It is generally not recommended for use between 400 and 580°C due to reduced mechanical properties.
Precision Heat Treatment
To fully anneal, heat the material to 815-900°C, followed by slow furnace cooling to 600°C and air cooling.
For process annealing, heat the material to 650-760°C and then air cool.
Efficient Welding
410 stainless steel can be easily welded using all standard methods. Preheating to 150-260°C and post-weld annealing are necessary to minimize the risk of cracking.
