DAXUN produces and stocks commercially pure titanium plates Grade 2 (UNS R50400) in thicknesses ranging from 0.5mm to 120mm. Renowned as the 'workhorse' of the commercially pure titanium family, Grade 2 Titanium Plate (UNS R50400) masterfully balances high strength, ductility, and exceptional corrosion resistance, serving a multitude of industrial applications.
Grade 2 Titanium Plate is a commercially pure titanium plate that strikes an impressive balance between strength and ductility. It boasts excellent impact strength and weldability, paired with outstanding corrosion resistance in highly oxidizing environments, alkaline media, brine solutions, weakly reducing environments, wet ***, and seawater. Its superb resistance extends to salt solutions, making it a versatile material for various demanding conditions.
Titanium's low density, high strength-to-weight ratio, and superior corrosion resistance make it the material of choice for diverse applications. Grade 2 Titanium Plate effectively resists stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion in chloride solutions below 70°C. With a melting point of 1660°C, it stands as the preferred alloy for myriad industrial applications requiring robust ductility and corrosion resistance.
Grade 2 titanium plate, with its reduced density, is ideal for weight-sensitive scenarios. Key industries benefiting include medical, chemical equipment, and aerospace. Its strength and corrosion resistance also favor applications in marine, chemical processing, and desalination sectors. Typical uses span oil and gas components, reaction and pressure vessels, piping systems, power, heat exchangers, linings, and flue gas desulfurization systems. Common standards include ASTM B265, ASTM F67, AMS4911, AMS4928, AMS4943, AMS4944, AMS4945, AMS4967, and AMS4972.
Daxun ensures material suitability through rigorous quality assurance tests, including flattening, pitting and resistance, mechanical, hardness, material positive identification, and expansion tests. Throughout production, we meticulously measure product diameter, thickness, and surface. Standard delivery is within 5-7 days, with special size products delivered in 15-20 days.
Titanium Grade 2 Plates are available in cold rolled thicknesses from 0.3 mm to 6.0 mm, supplied either hot rolled or heat treated. Hot rolled plates range from 4.76 mm to 155 mm and are produced by longitudinal and transverse rolling. If required, creep flattening can be employed as a heat treatment to relieve internal stresses and meet flatness specifications. Plates can be supplied in cut blank form, where parts with complex shapes are cut from a parent plate, allowing for further mechanical or chemical processing based on customer requirements.
