410 Plate Features
Corrosion Resistance
410 stainless steel is highly resistant to dry air, fresh water, mild bases and acids, food products, steam, and hot gases.
This grade must be hardened for optimal heat and corrosion resistance, delivering peak performance when the surface is smooth.
Heat Resistance
Exhibits excellent resistance to scaling at temperatures up to 650°C. Not recommended for temperatures between 400-580°C due to reduced mechanical properties.
Heat Treatment
Fully anneal at 815-900°C, then slowly furnace cool to 600°C before air cooling.
Process anneal at 650-760°C followed by air cooling.
Welding
Easily welded using all standard methods, requires preheating to 150-260°C and post-weld annealing to minimize the risk of cracking.
