Grade 2 Titanium Plate is a commercially pure titanium plate offering an excellent balance of strength and ductility. It also excels in seawater and salt solutions.
Titanium's inherent low density, superior strength-to-weight ratio, and exceptional corrosion resistance render it ideal for diverse applications. It effectively combats stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion in chloride solutions below 70°C. With a high melting point of 1660°C, Grade 2 Titanium Plate is the alloy of choice for industrial applications requiring excellent ductility and corrosion resistance.
Grade 2 Titanium Plate, characterized by its lower density, is ideal for weight-sensitive applications. It serves key industries such as medical, chemical equipment, and aerospace. Titanium Grade 2 Plates are available in cold-rolled thicknesses from 0.3 mm to 6.0 mm, and hot rolled or heat-treated conditions. Hot rolled plates range from 4.76 mm to 155 mm in thickness and are produced via longitudinal and transverse rolling. For special flatness requirements, creep flattening can be applied as a heat treatment. Plates can be supplied in cut blank forms for complex shapes, with further processing depending on customer requirements, either mechanically or chemically.
