Hot-finished Titanium Tubes
Our hot-finished titanium tubes are crafted with precision and supplied in hot-rolled or hot-extruded forms. Each tube is straightened, machined both inside and outside, and surface polished to perfection. Available in both heat-treated and non-heat-treated varieties, our tubes undergo 100% ultrasonic flaw detection for guaranteed quality.
Titanium Tube Materials Available:
Hot-rolled Titanium Tubes: Dimensions range from OD 19mm to 325mm, wall thickness from 9mm to 30mm, and lengths up to 5000mm (customizable upon manufacturer and customer agreement). Hot-extruded Titanium Tubes: Dimensions range from OD 50mm to 160mm, wall thickness from 7mm to 35mm, and lengths up to 3000mm (customizable upon mutual agreement).
Cold-finished Titanium Tubes
Our cold-finished titanium tubes are meticulously processed to meet the highest standards. Available in heat-treated forms, these tubes are surface-etched, and undergo hydrostatic or ultrasonic testing based on manufacturing specifications. Specifications: OD 6mm to 89mm, wall thickness from 0.5mm to 11mm, and lengths up to 6000mm (customizable upon mutual agreement).
Titanium Welded Pipes
DaXun's titanium welded pipes are crafted with precision and available in diameters from 12.7mm to 38.1mm (0.47 in to 1.5 in), wall thickness from 0.4mm to 1.65mm (0.016 in to 0.065 in), and lengths up to 25,000mm. Made from flat rolled raw material via automatic tungsten inert gas (argon) welding on electric pipe welders, and heat-treated on the mill line, these pipes undergo rigorous mechanical testing, geometrical measurements, and 100% ultrasonic and eddy current testing, ensuring compliance with ASTM B338 and ASME SB 338 standards. Custom packing is available to meet specific customer requirements.
Our titanium tubes excel in high-performance applications where strength and weight are critical. Ti-3Al-2.5V is favored in aircraft for its superior malleability compared to Ti-6-4, making it ideal for hydraulic systems. It's also highly suitable for bicycle and wheelchair frames due to its excellent properties and can be cold-worked by standard tube manufacturing processes or supplied in an annealed condition.

Titanium Grade 9, often referred to as 'half 6-4,' is a remarkable alloy of titanium with 3% aluminium and 2.5% vanadium. This composition offers an impressive 20 to 50% increase in mechanical strength compared tocommercially pure (CP)titanium grades. Moreover, it is more formable and weldable than the Ti-6Al-4V (Grade 5) alloy.
Titanium Grade 18 (UNS R56322) mirrors Grade 9 in almost every aspect, with the critical addition of 0.04 - 0.08% palladium to enhance corrosion resistance. Both Titanium Grades 9 and 18 boast a density of 4.48 g/cc, which is less than 60% of that of steel.
This material provides excellent corrosion resistance in oxidising, neutral, and mildly reducing environments, including chlorides. The addition of palladium in Titanium Grade 18 further amplifies its corrosion resistance, and the alloy withstands oxidation up to 600°F (316°C).
