317L Stainless Steel Pipe is an exceptional molybdenum-containing, low-carbon austenitic stainless steel. Enhanced with added chromium, nickel, and molybdenum, it offers superior corrosion and chemical resistance, particularly against sulfite, acetic, formic, citric, and tartaric acids. Its low carbon content ensures resistance to sensitization during welding and provides high creep, rupture stress, and tensile strength at elevated temperatures. In its annealed state, 317L Pipe is nonmagnetic, though it may become slightly magnetic after welding.
