Daxun Alloy's Pure Titanium Grade 1 Tubes Include:
Our seamless and welded titanium tubes exhibit exceptional ductility and cold formability, making them perfect for deep drawing applications. Renowned for their general and seawater corrosion resistance, Grade 1 titanium tubes offer superior resistance to oxidizing, neutral, and slightly reducing environments, including chlorides.
With a low density-approximately half that of nickel-based alloys-titanium boasts high strength, light weight, and remarkable corrosion resistance, making it the ideal choice for various harsh chemical conditions. Our products adhere to standards such as ASTM B338, ASTM B265, ASME SB265, ASTM F67, ISO 5832-2, 3.7025, and UNS R50250.
Grade 2 Titanium Tube (UNS R50400 / Werkstoff WS 3.7034)
Widely used in industrial applications, this titanium tube offers an exceptional balance of moderate strength and excellent ductility. It provides outstanding corrosion resistance in highly oxidizing and slightly reducing environments, including chlorides. Its robust corrosion protection is essential for the chemical and offshore industries, aircraft manufacturing, heat exchangers, hypochlorite systems, fire water systems, ballast water systems, industrial and aerospace components, CPI equipment, and pipelines.
Fabrication
Titanium Grade 2 is highly responsive to cold forming using standard methods. It is easily machinable, provided that sharp tools are used and a liberal amount of coolant is applied. Similar to machining austenitic stainless steels, deep and continuous cuts with slow feeds and speeds are recommended.
Stock Availability
Daxun Alloys maintains a diverse stock of CP 2 Grade Titanium Seamless and Welded Pipes, available in a variety of sizes to meet your needs.
Weight Reduction
CP 2 grade titanium tubes, noted for their low density and high strength-to-weight ratio, are ideal for applications requiring weight reduction without compromising strength. These tubes are cold formable, exhibit good ductility, and can be welded using conventional TIG and MIG processes, with inert gas shielding necessary to prevent embrittlement of the weld zone.
Crystal Structure
At room temperature, ASTM B338 Grade 2 titanium tube exhibits an alpha (hexagonal close-packed) crystal structure, like commercially pure titanium grades 1 and 3. At approximately 885°C (1625°F), it transitions to a beta (body-centered cubic) structure. The transformation temperature can be altered by the presence of impurities or alloying additives. Alloying elements cause the single equilibrium transformation temperature to split into two zones: the alpha transformation zone below which the alloy is all alpha, and the beta transformation zone above which the alloy is all beta. Between these zones, both alpha and beta forms coexist. Typical alpha and beta transformation temperatures for Grade 2 titanium are 890°C (1635°F) and 913°C (1675°F), respectively.
Grade 2 Titanium Seamless Pipe Manufacturing Process
Daxun's ASTM B338 Grade 2 titanium seamless tubes are produced from hollow blanks using hot extrusion or oblique rolling and piercing processes, followed by multiple cold rolling stages. At every stage, titanium seamless tubes maintain continuous perimeters. The manufacturing process includes sponge titanium vacuum arc melting, ingot blanking to obtain hollow blanks, cleaning, cutting, feeding, hot extrusion or oblique rolling and piercing, degreasing, drying, cutting, online annealing and straightening, pickling, multiple cold rolling, degreasing, drying, vacuum annealing, straightening, cutting, pickling, final inspection, marking (DAXUN), and packaging.
